AxeElf 787 Posted January 8 The Chiefs look so good it's ridiculous. Mahomes, yeah, we have the best player in the NFL... but Pacheco and McKinnon are a pretty good combo out of the backfield too. And we get a #1 draft pick back as our RB3 shortly. And oh, by the way, Ronald Jones is our RB4. How do we have a 5500 yard passer and no 1000 yard WR? Juju, MVS, Toney, Watson, Hardman and Moore when healthy--legit six deep at WR. Kelce is the big receiving threat of course, but 3 other TEs have combined for 410 yards and 4 TDs (collectively 12 more PPR fantasy points than Austin Hooper), so the Chiefs run deep there as well. That's 14 targets for Mahomes as the maestro, the conductor of this offensive orchestra and engineer of the juggernaut (not counting the occasional tackle-eligible). KC had a first round bye to play for, and the Raiders got eliminated from the playoffs last week (ie. their dreams were crushed). The game after a team gets their dreams crushed is usually a poor performance. It's an old gambling axiom at least. Couple that with playing against a motivated team, and this followed the script. Blah Blah Blah... And if the Raiders beat the Chiefs then it just followed the classic script of a team looking past a weaker opponent to the playoffs and getting bit in the butt for it. There's a script for every scenario; this is the one where the best team just steamrolls everyone through their fifth straight home Conference Championship Game (previous record was two in a row) and into their third Super Bowl in the last four years. nobody 1,919 Posted January 8 Other teams that had their dreams crushed last week are the Saints (vs Panthers with Darnold who thrives under no-pressure games), Jets (vs Miami with something to potentially play for), and Washington who's been dying to quit (against Dallas who may not have much to play for)

I knew you'd discount that. You're all about the data and pay no attention to motivation and the men in the equation.

cmh6476 613 Posted January 8 Bengals were beating the bills. You're taking away the bills toughest road game and acting like the Chiefs are the victims. Lost to the bills, Bengals and colts. Let's see if any of them can do it another time.
