Anyone still yapping about having a fist place schedule doesn’t know what they’re talking about.  It ain’t what it used to be.

Giants lost all three games to Philly by an average of 21 points but they closed the gap. They’ll probably lose both by an average of 14 points this year. Progress!

Again, I am not staying giants win the division.   But people like you crack me up.  If the NFL is so easy to predict then go bet it and make money.  Sell me your picks.  Every year some fans just look at last years records and assume all the teams will stay relatively the same.

Who had Jags winning the division here? No one.  Who had Giants making the playoffs? No one.  Who had Lions basically 1 foot in the door of a playoff spot? No one here did.

Some people wrote off Josh Allen after 2 years.  Then boom one of best in league.  Some people chalked Lawrence up already to at least a semi bust.  Wrong.

Things change.

Which is exactly why they aren't trading him.  Also they won a playoff game last year.  Not sure why they have to wait 3 more years to be good.

I am anti RB.  But 3 years before giants are finally good? They made the playoffs and won a game last season?  What am I missing?

My initial sentence said really good, I should have re-stated that again........ And yes they did win a playoff game last year. Do you really consider them a NFC Championship contender, consider them among the cream of the NFC crop or think they will be as long as Jones is there? I don't - which goes back to my point. Barkley will not be a viable piece of a championship team if/when NY finally gets there... To keep him around now is wheel spinning - trust me, I just lived thru and saw it with Zeke.

There is no crop in the NFC.  It’s two teams that are really good. The rest are meh as of now.

I wouldn't keep Barkley on a 2nd contract if they were a 4 win team or an 11 win team last season.

But who knows where the Giants are 2 years from now.  Dan Jones absolutely can't take another step forward?  Thats set in stone? When he just did last season with zero weapons and a new coach who knows what he is doing?

Just like Geno Smith would never be a starter in this league again.  Then he goes out leads league in % and earns a nice contract.

Things change.

Who here before last season said Hurts can lead philly to a SB and he will be the highest paid player by next season?

No one.

I could go on and on and on

You want to bank on Jones? Be my guest. And last time I checked, Jones doesn't play defense - NY is as soft as Dallas - need huge help on the defensive side of the ball. Will take a lot to build a defense AND load Danny with weapons quickly.

But you're making my point for me all over again. I said 3 years, you just said 2 years, 2mato/tomaato - Barkely will be 28 in 2 years - you don't pay 28 year old rbs big money............... Trade him while you can - Barkley is more valuable as draft pick capital than he is as a ball runner for NY.

Philly had a plan.............the last couple of years they were stockpiling 1st and 2nd rd picks - picks they made happen, not that just fell out of the sky. Then they strategically made trades and FA pick-ups. NY doesn't have that kind of draft capital in the bank.. Moving Barkley could help with that though.

But like I said, you want to bank on NY being a contender for the next 3 years (with Jones and Barkely), be my guest.

I am not making your point.  I said who knows where they will be.  They could be SB champs or back in the cellar. You said they won't be real good for 3 years.  They focking were in the divisional round.  Things change.  Jax had the 1st pick thr Giants thr 5th pick.  8 months later both are in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Im sure people last year said man even if Jones is decsnt Giants are years away from being too relevant.   Boom 5th pick to Div round.

Im sure last season people said Jax is probably years away from being relevant.   Boom 1st pick to divisional round in 8 months.

So you're saying the Colts and Texans have a chance to be in the divisional rd this year...........bcoz of course, things change? Cool.

You do continue to make my point..... And this year NY drafts in the 25th spot. They got exposed, hugely, by PHI in the Div round. Good luck to them loading up with weapons and building a defense from there........... Like I said, be my guest to bank on NY being a contender in the next 3 years. Keeping Barkley does them no good for when they really are contenders - and they def could be.

Interested to see where qb Anthony Richardson goes.

As a Gator fan, I was shocked he's considered first round material. He led Florida to a pathetic 6-7 record last year and was damn lucky to have 6 wins, nearly losing to Utah and SOUTH FLORIDA - both at home.  Lost to Kentucky and lowly Vanderbilt, first that's ever happened one season at UF.

Threw 54% completion finishing with 17 Tds and 9 Ints... an improvement from 6 Tds and 5 Ints in 2021.

Yeah, he's big and can run. That's about it. Looks like a first round bust to me.

I agree I was shcoked to see he was firmly in 1st round when I first looked at a mock draft earlier this year.

There will always be teams who draft on upside.  Once in a while it works.   Still surprised here.  If he was the same size as Kyler Murray he would go like 6th round.  But because hes not a small guy like a Murray teams salivate at his tools.

If anyone would rather play KC, Minn and TB over LV, GB and NO then they are dumber than I thought.

What do you think the trade market is for Barkley right now?  A 4th at the most?  What team wants to give up assets for one year of Barkley for $10M?

Yea it's a head scratchier for me. Watching Florida last year I bet against them a lot cause I knew he sucked.

“This is the worst offensive-line crowd in the history of the draft — maybe,” a long-in-the-tooth NFL personnel executive. “We have like 15 guys in our top 150. For an entire 32-team league. We need 320 linemen.

“It’s so bad,” he continued. “There’s going to be some reaches on offensive linemen in this draft. I think every lineman in the top 100 overall will go a half-round to a full round, if not two rounds, higher than they normally would in a given year.”

Right now, honestly - not much, I mean who seriously would give anything for a guy who will be totally free in a year?

The sole market for Barkley is maybe a team who feels they're close, really close.........say BUF. In fact, Barkley is exactly what Allen needs. But idk, even if a team trades for him why in the world would you even try to resign him for big bucks going forward? You just don't pay rbs anymore - not in today's game.

There is no trade market for Barkley. It's the contract that everyone is afraid of. It's crazy to franchise a RB, any RB. The Giants front office is horrific. It made zero sense to franchise him when they have so many other needs.

If the Eagles line is close to what it was last year I think he could be a beast for them. I do know they lost one of their decent OL to Pitt in FA though.

He kinda reminds me of Kyle Murray that he is not that great in big games.

He was amazing vs Georgia. Better than any one against them. That game was impressive because of how calm and how he went through all of his progressions. He's my #1 QB, Young is going to get killed in the NFL.

There is thing to like about him for sure. Yea that is the main problem with Young and maybe the only problem with him but could be a big one.

Don't get me wrong, Young is definitely the best QB in his draft but his size would terrify me as a coach or GM.

I would be scared about him not for what I see but what I know.  You can't just go by numbers and history but many times patterns are for a reason.  They took that S2 test.  Young scored like a 98% Stroud 18% Levis 93% Richardson 79%. They say just because you score well doesnt mean you will be a good QB.  But there has never been QBs who score poorly and go on to pan out.  Purdy had the highest score last year in his class.  Coincidentally thr last pick in the draft was able to handle the reigns at QB of one of the best teams in the league and outperforms his draft position by a mile.

That and Ohio State.  Out of like the top 15 linemen in this draft he had 3.  He has 2 1st round WRs from last year.  1 from this year.  And Marvin Harrison Jr. Next year who will go high in the first.

I can't give you a break down of his game that I think is flawed.  But I would be scared to draft the next Fields ot Haskins.

I agree here.  I woukd also be terrified of Young.  He is very smart in the pocket and has a good feel.   But man one fall on your shoulder with a DE landing on you.  It won't take many of those.

They said he looked pregnant when he weighed in originally.  Tons of water.  Weighed around 200.  Many people think he is going to play at 190.

I actually have a semi feeling Levis will be higher than the 4th QB off the board.  He has a ton of upside.  Maybe not Richardson levels of upside but a lot of upside.

That's not bad, I agree for the most part but Gonzales will be in there somewhere. I think the Eagles go CB at 10 whether it's Gonzales or Witherspoon (if there).
