You mean as soon as Trump implements Tariffs, Corporations aren't going to shutter their plants in Mexico and Bangladesh and start building Million dollar factories in Nebraska overnight? I like the idea of what he wants to do but he's all talk.  I don't think it's going to be as simple as a lot of people seem to think it is.  People forget how many farmers Trump hurt with his last tariffs.  There were a lot of farms that shut down while he was President.  I have a feeling this round of tariffs will hurt a lot of people in the early years as well.

Agreed.  I like the sentiment of bringing jobs back to America. I like the sentiment of keeping illegal immigrants out as much as possible.  But his ideas for fixing both are asinine and will never work.

My uncle is a farmer and he told me Trump's presidency didn't affect his farming (corn and soybeans and cattle in Eastern Nebraska) operation at all.

Yes, subsidies for farmers have happened for years and are much need many years.  The subsidies during Trump's Presidency were very large and some of it inflicted by Trump.  The weather and covid were not something that could've been prevented.
