What's interesting is the Democratic Party used to lean towards free speech absolutism. Certainly not all the way, but heavily in that direction. Also if Obama ran on his 2008 campaign platform today, he'd be called a traitor by the DNC.

I've generally always been a libertarian that leaned Conservative. But given todays hard sharp diversion to the far left by Team Blue, I'm actually now considered a hard line Conservative. 

Let's be honest with what happened. IMHO, Obama was clear sociopath, but a generational level public speaker. Had tons of charisma, but on policy and leadership, he was an idiot. He looked the part and sounded the part, but he was all hat and no cattle. What Obama tapped into, besides having the right timing in the Internet Age, was widespread "white guilt" and "virtue signaling"  People wanted to elect the "cool guy" who "sounded cool" Instead he ran this country into the ground. Not as bad as Biden, but close. And Obama, of course, is part of the reason Biden is in office right now. And many of Biden's current cronies are holdovers from the Obama regime. 

It's basically when a hot young teenage girl falls for the greasy no future dipwad who happens to be lead singer in a band. It looks good to them to start, but then they realize the sociopathic narcissist, that even Autotune can't fix, won't be able to pay the mortgage. 

Obama sent weapons, including anti-material rifles, to the drug cartels in Mexico, with our tax dollars. That pathway set up the entire fentanyl trade that is killing American children right now. 

Biden left 85 billion in high tech weapons and equipment, paid with our tax dollars no less, to the Taliban and ISIS and other terrorist cells, so they can kill future generations of Americans with our own guns. 

Obama and Biden only did a great job arming our enemies to kill us all and made us pay for it.

Former Hillary Clinton high level strategist Mark Penn once said that he estimated that slightly over 90 percent of high level staffers for Team Blue and the DNC are young college educated people who have never worked in anything else but professional politics. In the 24-28 age range. And the feeder system to that comes from major colleges and universities, where students who engage in political activism are basically "interning" and "auditioning" for future jobs in the Party apparatus. 

Student Loan Forgiveness ( which is clearly beyond the bounds of Executive Order, Biden trying that is just like his Vaccine Mandates, everyone knows  they will not survive judicial scrutiny ) is not supported by the average American citizen. However it's heavily supported by the internal staffers all up and down the ticket for Team Blue and the DNC. While the upper levels of the Party is a gerontocracy ( Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, Waters, Feinstein, etc, etc), the rank and file Team Blue footsoldier is more in the vein of a Kyle Kulinski. 

The current Democratic Party, the cogs and gears of it, don't represent the actual working class. It's easy for AOC and Pete Buttigieg to demand everyone have an electric vehicle to save the environment. They aren't living paycheck to paycheck. They are armed by security with guns who are highly trained, they can demand that the average person surrender their guns. 

In effect, what Team Blue doesn't seem to get is that they've managed to enrage the working class, but more critically - working class minority voters. 

Think of all those small businesses, owned by minorities no less, who were locked down and then burned and looted out during the rioting in 2020. Think about all the Asians who were told they are too successful at school and need to be punished for it and any violence from blacks against Asians is just ignored. Think about Hispanic/Latinos, many of whom are traditional hard line Catholics, being told their kids need to be sexually indoctrinated and all this heavy transgender push into everything, while inflation is hitting them hard. Think about the subsets like the Armenians and Muslims who are treated like part of a monolith instead of as smaller diverse pockets of different cultures and interests. 

If you incite and piss off the working class, you can't win elections. Not enough of them to make a difference to drive the policy you want. 

The more the economy craters and the more the Obama/Biden regime fails, previous low information voters have no more incentive to remain that way, they are incentivized to become high information voters instead. And once sunlight operates as a disinfectant, then the average person sees the toxic pathology of the radical left. I'm not saying Republicans and the GOP are all sunshine and roses. There are many idiots there too and many stupid policies and positions, but the current Team Blue wants to see America burn. That's intolerable. 

"Leftists" cannot be saved. They are too far gone. They hate America and they ignore the irony that they try to profit from a system that tolerates them to act this way. ( You'll notice they'll never try this in Russia or China, they know they would be killed by Xi or Putin for even half of the madness that's allowed in the US)  However many "liberals" are just low information voters. But that's changing. The "information age" is a double edged sword. It allows the propaganda to spill out, but it also gives the other "narrative" a chance to find light as well.

It is not just leftist though...it is the entire establishment which controls about 25 percent of the GOP and about 80 percent (effectively 100 percent) of the DNC.   We can not be too hung up on party lables or even ideology.  

The enemy we are fighting are one the huge authoritarian  bureaucracies (FBI, NIH, CIA, IRS, DOJ, NSA) which operate with zero accountability.  And secondly the mega weathly elitists who control the banking, energy, health care, military, media, and tech.  These two entities are aligned and are out of reach of the few honest representatives we have in the house and senate.   These two entities main interest are to feed their lust for power and wealth.  The US Constitution which guarantees individual liberties is their biggest enemy.  

Our freedom is in serious peril and unless the majority of people wake up and elect representatives who recognize this, we are doomed to a future of effectively being slaves to these elitist.

As a matter of principle, I agree with you jon. The "Deep State" driven by Big Pharma, the Military Industrial Complex and big corporate interests have bought both sides of the aisle. 

That being said, I will say one battle at a time. You can only win a war by winning single battles first. Identity politics and woke are too devastating to ignore any longer. Look at the damage caused in the past three years from it. I want what you want. But there has to be a practical order of operations in what to fight first. 

Ben Shapiro did a town hall meeting and was asked on how to fix black communities. He said load them up with police first. Because without law and order, nothing else will function. And even if that's harsh, you have to start somewhere. It's not neglecting the importance of the other issues, he said, but without the "baseline" first, the rest will fall apart anyway. I agree with him. 

Let's just get a Conservative back into POTUS first. Close the Border, become energy independent again, reboot practical law and order in big cities and crush woke. Everything else that you want, and I want it too, like purging the FBI and going after Big Pharma and the like, that can happen later. You can only fight a war on so many fronts at once. 

I'm looking for practical wins given the situation.

IRS whistleblowers describe alleged Hunter Biden coverup: ‘Not letting me do my investigative job’

....Ziegler remained anonymous until moments before the House Oversight Committee hearing — at which he described himself as a Democrat who felt he had to do the “right thing” by coming forward about aberrations in the case....Shapley, who supervised the IRS team on the case for more than three years, and Ziegler, who worked on the case since it opened in 2018, previously gave closed-door testimony to the House Ways and Means Committee.....The hearing featured at-times contentious examination of claims that political appointees interfered in the case and that prosecutors blocked standard investigative steps. To underscore a point, a congresswoman even displayed photos from Hunter Biden’s laptop of him having oral sex with a prostitute whose fees allegedly were treated as business expenses.....

....Shapley initially contacted Congress in April to allege a coverup. One week later, lawyers for Hunter visited the Justice Department, prefacing his agreement to plead guilty to two misdemeanor counts of failing to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes in 2017 and 2018, in addition to a gun-possession felony that will be expunged after two years.....

ALLEGATION 1: Joe Biden’s role in his son’s finances was not investigated.

Shapley testified that “there were multiple instances in this investigation where there were references to the father of the subject, President Biden” — but that investigators weren’t allowed to dig into the details....Shapley, who has worked at the IRS for 14 years, said the WhatsApp messages were “something we clearly needed to follow up on” but further investigation “simply wasn’t supported by the prosecutors.”....One day before that text message, an Aug. 2, 2017, email retrieved from Hunter’s abandoned laptop said that CEFC chairman Ye Jianming offered Hunter a three-year consulting contract with CEFC that was to pay $10 million annually “for introductions alone....” 

ALLEGATION 2: AG Garland lied, Biden appointees blocked charges in DC, California.

Delaware US Attorney David Weiss was blocked from bringing tax fraud charges against Hunter Biden by his father’s appointed US attorneys in California and Washington, DC, Shapley and Ziegler testified  — which would mean Attorney General Merrick Garland gave false statements about Weiss’ independence.

ALLEGATION 3: Hunter was tipped off on planned search, approach.

“US Attorney Weiss agreed that if the storage unit wasn’t accessed for 30 days, we could execute a search warrant on it,” Ziegler wrote in prepared testimony submitted into the record. “We later heard that Wolf and DOJ-Tax Attorney Mark Daly had ultimately reached out to Hunter Biden’s defense counsel and told them about the storage unit, once again circumventing our chance to get to evidence from potentially being destroyed, manipulated or concealed.”

ALLEGATION 4: Biden bribery tip, Hunter laptop files not shared.

Shapley said tax agents weren’t given important documents, including files from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop and an FBI informant file that accused Joe and Hunter Biden of accepting $10 million in bribes from a Ukrainian businessman. Shapley also testified that Wolf said in September 2020 that “they had information from the laptop that they were not providing to the investigators.” Shapley previously said in testimony to the Ways and Means Committee that data from the laptop, which the FBI retrieved from a Delaware repairman in 2019, was filtered to remove potentially sensitive information including attorney-client privilege....

ALLEGATION 5: Interviews weren’t allowed with Biden family.

Ziegler outlined how tax investigators weren’t able to talk with various members of Hunter’s family, despite transfers that indicated they may have relevant information. “I can recall wanting to interview and get records from Hunter Biden’s adult children and members of the Biden family...There were expenses paid for the adult children, as well as potential credit card expenditures and Venmo payments, which were deducted on Hunter Biden’s 2018 tax return. On October 21, 2021, AUSA Wolf told us it ‘will get us into hot water if we interview the president’s [adult] grandchildren.’ This, again, was abnormal and a deviation from normal procedure....”

Biden $10M bribe file released: Burisma chief said he was ‘coerced’ to pay Joe, ‘stupid’ Hunter in bombshell allegations

....A bombshell FBI informant file describing a $10 million bribery allegation against President Biden and his son Hunter was released Thursday by Sen. Chuck Grassley, showing that a Ukrainian oligarch claimed that he was “coerced” into making the payoff.....Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of natural gas company Burisma Holdings, told the FBI informant in 2016 while meeting at a coffee shop in Vienna, Austria, that “it cost 5 [million] to pay one Biden, and 5 [million] to another Biden,” according to the redacted FD-1023 form.....“Zlochevsky made some comment that although Hunter Biden ‘was stupid, and his (Zlochevsky’s) dog was smarter,’ Zlochevsky needed to keep Hunter Biden (on Burisma’s board) ‘so everything will be okay,’” the June 2020 document says. ....The source asked whether Hunter Biden or Joe Biden told Zlochevsky he should “retain” the younger Biden; Zlochevsky allegedly replied, “They both did....”

....The federal informant — a Ukrainian-American who has been a trusted, highly credible FBI source for over a decade and been paid “six figures,” according to Grassley — described four conversations with Zlochevsky, beginning with a meeting near Kyiv in late 2015 or early 2016 and continuing through a 2019 phone call. The informant said each of his conversations with Zlochevsky occurred in the presence of a man named Alexander Ostapenko — giving the FBI a possible supporting witness. Ostapenko “introduced” the informant to Zlochevsky and “works in some office for the administration of [Ukrainian] President [Volodymyr] Zelensky,” the file says. Zlochevsky allegedly claimed to have 17 recordings of conversations with the Bidens — two of which involved Joe — as well as “many text messages” and two documents that the informant “understood to be” financial records of “payment(s) to the Bidens.”...According to Zlochevsky, the recordings and other evidence showed he was “somehow coerced into paying the Bidens to ensure Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin was fired,” the FBI source added....“Zlochevsky responded he did not send any funds directly to the ‘Big Guy’ (which [the FBI source] understood was a reference to Joe Biden). Asked about Shokin’s investigation into Burisma: “Zlochevsky replied something to the effect of, ‘Don’t worry Hunter will take care of all of those issues through his dad.’ [The informant] did not ask any further questions about what that specifically meant.“

The informant suggested Zlochevsky hire some attorney for $50,000 to ligate the case. Zlockevsky said: “It costs 5 (million) to pay one Biden, and 5 (million) to another Biden.”

The informant asked Zlochevsky why he didn’t hire some normal US oil and gas advisers: “Zlochevsky made some comment that although ‘Hunter Biden was stupid, and his dog was smarter,’ Zlochevsky needed to keep Hunter Biden (on the board) ‘so everything will be okay.’ “

The Bidens pressured him, Zlochevsky said. “Zlochevsky stated he didn’t want to pay the Bidens and he was ‘pushed to pay’ them. . . . he [said] has many text messages and ‘recordings’ that show that he was coerced to make such payments.”

Asked whether Hunter Biden or Joe Biden told Zlochevsky he should retain Hunter Biden; Zlochevsky replied: “They both did.”

Asked if he had any proof that he’d be “pressured” to pay the Bidens: “Zlochevsky said he had a total of ‘17 recordings’ involving the Bidens; two of the recordings included Joe Biden, and the remaining 15 recordings only included Hunter Biden. [The informant] reiterated that, per Zlochevsky, these recordings evidence Zlochevsky was somehow coerced into paying the Bidens to ensure Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin was fired.”

Asked about payments: “Zlochevsky responded he did not send any funds directly to the ‘Big Guy’ (which [the informant] understood was a reference to Joe Biden). . . . Zlochevsky responded it would take them (investigators) 10 years to find the records (i.e. illicit payments to Joe Biden).”

The informant thought the story of the Burisma officials was credible. “Given the pervasive necessity to bribe government officials in Ukraine and Russia, [the informant] did not perceive Pozharsky or Zlochevsky’s statements to be unusual, self-serving, or pretextual.”

Understood.  Keep in mind first that Democrats showed us they are capable of anything over the last few years.  Time and again the "crazy" turned out to be true.

And then, the Democrats desire to hold power is relentless and paramount, and they happily ignore constitution, rule of law and decency in pursuit of that power.

You may find it insane....but what will you think if it happens?  And it more certainly CAN happen.  It would be the best way to protect Biden. But honestly it is even less about Biden now, so much as the wider Democrat party.
