She posted video of herself in her seat before panning to the flight attendant.....She continued to argue with the flight attendant in her video and after showing him on camera he moved back behind a curtain. After asking her to stop recording, Richardson responded animatedly at the flight attendant.... “I’m recording me but you jumped in my video, so I caught you, because you jumped in my video,” Richardson told the flight attendant. “You’re harassing me at this point, so I think you should stop. Richardson was then escorted off the plane, and continued to trade shouts with passengers and flight crew on her way out. Applause could be heard as she exited. “Tell me if I’ll be wrong to pursue legal actions against the airline XX@XXamericanair not only did the man threaten me but also an innocent bystander who simply just wanted a picture with me. In the beginning of the video you can hear a Caucasian male state that he doesn’t give a f*** as a man that male flight attendant is intimidating a woman ....Also the captain not doing anything to help the situation and this flight attendant has the applause when I exited the plane when I’m pretty serious the disrespect I received would not have happened if I was a one of them.” ....Richardson rose to prominence while starring for LSU’s track and field team, breaking the NCAA 100-meter record as a freshman. The taxpayer-funded Multicultural Summer Research Opportunities Program is a 10-week summer research internship for undergraduate students and is only open to non-white students. According to the university’s website, the students will work full-time with a faculty mentor on either an established research project or they will create and develop their own with the faculty mentor....Each participant will receive a $6,000 stipend for “personal and research expenses” and an additional stipend of an unknown amount that is given to the faculty mentor for use by the student. At the top of the list of requirements to qualify, above the minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, is “Identify as a Student of Color or Native American.” ....filed a federal civil rights complaint with the Office of Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Education on May 19 over an entire race being excluded from the opportunity. According to a press release from the organization, “The University of Minnesota is engaging in unlawful discrimination through the Multicultural Summer Research Opportunities Program. Racial discrimination by a public institution is illegal regardless of which race suffers. Discrimination against white applicants is just as unlawful as discrimination against black or other non-white applicants. There is no good form of racial discrimination. Because UMN receives federal funding, OCR had the power and obligation to make UMN stop and to impose whatever remedial relief is necessary.....The U. Minnesota segregated summer program is inexcusable, and it’s shocking that a major university would so openly make educational opportunities open only to students of a certain skin color...There is no good form of racial discrimination. They only allowed non-white students to pass through. “Whose university? Our university!” they chanted repeatedly. One protestor complained there were too many white students in classrooms. “When you walk into a class, what’s the majority in there?” one student angrily asked. “I’m telling you, man, this is bigger than you,” a protestor told white student who was being blocked from passing by. “This is about ‘whiteness,’ this is not about you.” Many white and Asian students were forced to take a dirt path through brush in order to skirt the protestors as they chanted: “Go around! Go around!” The protestors then moved to the student store, where they began to chant “Students over profit!” apparently in objection to the fact the store makes money from the items they sell. One student climbed on top of a ledge to place an “eviction notice” on a second-story window. Blue Horseshoe 95 Posted May 26 No charges for Chicago teens who killed 70-yr-old with stolen KIA, mayor fires police chief who asked questions ...Police in the village of Robbins, which is southwest of Chicago, announced that no charges have been filed against three teenagers who stole a Kia in February and then crashed it into 70-year-old Donald Carter’s car, killing him. Carter’s family has been outraged that no charges have been forthcoming against the teenagers. Robbins Mayor Darren Bryant fired Police Chief David Sheppard in April following the incident after the chief repeatedly questioned behavior coming from the mayor’s office.....According to the Chicago Tribune, Sheppard said he believed that his questioning of directions he received from Bryant in the handling of Carter’s vehicle factored into his dismissal. Sheppard said the vehicle was taken to a large building where public works vehicles and road salt are stored to keep it enclosed because state police had not yet processed it for evidence in the crash investigation. Sheppard was terminated after ostensibly questioning Bryant’s purported requests to break chain-of-custody rules by moving the vehicle involved in the accident. Even after being advised that moving the vehicle could result in evidentiary chain-of-custody issues, as well as potentially corrupting the evidence, Mayor Bryant requested that it be moved anyway. ....The former police chief said he was contacted by the mayor and told the car had to be moved because it was blocking public works vehicles. Sheppard contacted the public works director, who said that wasn’t true....Sheppard is now considering suing the village for wrongful termination. Now that the former police chief is gone, it appears the entire case is magically being dropped..... that their ages were 17, 15, and 14, meaning at least one was of legal age to drive. On Feb. 12, 2023, at approximately 2:30 pm, a police officer saw a Kia with a broken driver’s side window speeding north. He followed the car, according to police reports. The car slammed into a Ford Taurus that was being driven by Carter. The elderly man was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he succumbed to his injuries. Two days following the fatal crash, Robbins Mayor Darren Bryant ..... held a news conference..... announced the boys were released to their parents.... ....The victim’s son Desmond Carter remarked in February that he was upset the three teenagers were released without being charged, according to the Chicago Tribune. The family wants the teenagers to be charged and held accountable for their crimes. “There’s so much hurt and there’s so much anger behind it mostly because these kids were allowed to go home to the very people who obviously weren’t making sure they knew where these kids were in the first place...My daddy is supposed to be here.
