They're doomed. That is a great way to teach kids IMO. I think the right-wing attacks on LGBTQ people will backfire. You may not like how they live their lives, but they aren’t hurting anybody. And all the propaganda insinuating otherwise won’t hold up to the reality. If people think the positive messages about transgender people are over-the-top or too far? Let them come to that conclusion. But when you have lawmakers trying to legislate the gay away, it will only hurt their position. If they stick to complaining about it, I don’t like it, but what can I do? It’s when they take personal liberties away that I and many others have a big problem. The newfangled curriculum was nowhere to be seen prior to the past year or so, and it certainly wasn't the right shoehorning this in. We, as a country, are gagging behind just about every other first world (and I'd hazard to guess a couple of 3rd world) society in terms of basic education - our lunch is getting eaten by the other significant socio-political heavy hitters, and instead of focusing on actual TEACHING, we'd rather traipse around in frilly jumpers, thumping our chests about little Johnny wanting his sausage sliced. It means treating blacks with respect and acknowledging their awful history here. It means treating women with respect and dignity in the workplace. Maybe you need to hang your hat on "woke" to practice those most basic of human tenets, but I certainly don't give a free pass to anybody based on their supposed marginalization - my respect is earned. Doesn't mean I go down the street hocking lugies on, or physically assaulting, those unlike me (the overwhelming majority of that is done by brown folk up here, fyi). I will never be cucked, nor will I bow to folks who have done not one single thing other than being born differently than me ... again, live and let live, baby - as long as it's legal, and not harming others. But if you think this is going to end well for the trans goons, you are sadly mistaken ... just like the black folk in Chicago pulling the NIMBY regarding immigrants, once this agenda hits too close to home, the Dems will see their assuaged base spit right back in their face, and it's underway already. They don’t have the brain development to do so. Kids that young are VERY impressionable. You can turn a child into almost anything you want if you start them at an early age. This is common knowledge not only in the medical community but in regular society. The ONLY thing I want is for them to not be teaching that in public schools to kids in elementary or grade school. Middle school/high school? By all means, go ahead. That’s an appropriate time to learn about sex ed along with gay sex, trans sex, non-binary sex, etc. I’d like included in the sex ed. But it should ONLY be taught during sex ed at those ages.
