We were at the bear ranch in the northern Michigan and bought a couple bags of apples. We go to the top of a platform that has like 10 people on it to look into a bear enclosure and there is a lone bear sitting by itself. It was probably 20-30 yards away. I told the boy to "watch this" and launched an apple in a very high arc intending to land the apple right in front of it.

Well....That plan did not come together. Instead of it bouncing right in front of the bear or right behind it and the bear being like "great shot dude. I will in fact eat that apple that just appeared at my feet" the apple landed square on top of it's head with a loud focking thud.....and everyone on the platform looked at me like I had just stabbed Jesus with a spear.

I did my best to explain to a group of total strangers that I was not trying to do that and even if I wanted to hit the bear right on top of its head I could not do that in a million tries on purpose from that range at 47.

The bear did in fact eat the apple but I am pretty sure those people left thinking WTF did we just see.
