kilroy69 1,250 Posted August 3, 2023 Does anyone else here play? It is pretty cool and my kid loves it. The best thing is that once you get your discs the courses are free. It has been a perfect way for me to trick my kid into getting out and getting fresh air and exercise. So far we have hit 3 different courses for a total of about 10 times. I give him 3 shots to every one of mine till were within putting distance then it is 1:1. We both are not the greatest but we are learning and it has been a blast so far.

I start it off really low and the dam thing then rises like it wants to touch the sky. From a sidearm release

DonS 3,292 Posted August 3, 2023 I went with my 25 y/o son for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Very fun, but it definitely took me awhile to get used to how the various discs handle. (i.e. I sucked)

From a sidearm release Try throwing it even with your shoulder not down. The lift you’re getting is caused by by the drag angle. Also, how many disc’s are in your bag? Some rules allow you to have a light discus for a short distance.Like a wedge. Make sure you throw it clockwise. Not counter.A lot more accurate. When I wasn’t playing FB, BB, and BB, I was playing frisbee, discus, and hacky sack. I fawking hate hippie posers so I played hacke sack with myself.

When I wasn’t playing FB, BB, and BB, I was playing frisbee, discus, and hacky sack. I fawking hate hippie posers so I played hacke sack with myself. So I bought a used kit off ebay that includes like 10 different disks. However I find that I really just throw 2 because they all seem the same to me. A driver and a putter. I am the worst putter there has ever been and routinely tie or lose holes to my son because it is just such nonsense how bad I am. I did however get my best drives ever yesterday(ever being like 5 times playing) with your suggestion to keep my shoulder even. I also used only one finger(they like that) on my release seems to be a lot better than using 2 or my entire hand I still have a problem with it curving but I think I can solve it with better mechanics. We are on a local collage course. There are no rules. I mean there are but I am not kidding we have went 5 times and we saw someone once and they were wayyyy ahead of us so it was like doing 2 separate courses. I am throwing counter clockwise because it is more comfortable for my arm. If I toss it like a normal fisbee I just can not get any power to it at all. It goes half the distance of my counterclockwise sidearm release. I have no clue where it is going to go but for the most part I am able to recover pretty well to make par or close to it.
