I disagree. Im not saying Smith is bad or anything but he doesn't often win contested catches the way Brown does.... which is expected given they are different types of receivers... but i don't think Smith runs his routes as crisp as he should. It showed last night. I was not surprised (and not happy either) that AJ was the focal point in the second half of a close game.

DeVonta is a fantastic route runner. He doesn’t win contested catches at the same rate as AJ Brown, but who does?

AJ is clearly the better receiver but you’re just flat wrong to say Smith has played like garbage. He’s just not getting peppered with targets because AJ is the alpha and whines if he’s not the focal point.

watching the last two weeks, Devonta did not look crisp. I'm not saying he is an overall poor route runner, i'm saying right now from what I see he's not running as crisp as he should be

DeVonta had his worst game against the Jets with 2 uncharacteristic drops - his only 2 of the year. He’s actually a fantastic route runner. He has to be, because he’s my size and doesn’t have blazing speed.

I really think the big issue is the Eagles don’t throw the ball enough to have everyone go off and AJ / Goedert are getting fed right now.

I don't personally care who they feed, aside from the fact I was playing against AJ Brown but that was only in 1 league and he was actually my WR this week in the 3 and Out contest.  I'm just commenting on what I saw the past two weeks and keeping in mind that the Jets, for as good a defense as they have, were without their top 2 DB's for that game. I wasn't looking at his numbers as much as what I was seeing on the field. Last night a few passes his way he did not seem like he was in proper position for, although that could be a Hurts thing. Some catches it seemed like if he had been in better position, he could have caught more in stride and got some YAC.  It looks like he only had 5 official targets last night (and caught 4). It really felt like a few more targets. Maybe I had him confused with Zaccheaus on a few plays (but he only had 1 target). Apologies if that was the case.

Bills was definitely unexpected. I thought after playing down to the G-Men and escaping on a blatant no call, they would have their shit more together.

No apologies needed, just surprised to see the take about route running in particular, he runs routes like Keenan Allen. AJ Brown had a sideline snit and the Birds have been feeding him since. 

Devonta will have his games but his fantasy owners are going to be frustrated.
