I stayed away from this thread during the game as I was texting with my son and a couple other Bills fans. Wow. What a shitshow. There goes their season which was hanging on by a thread. Something isn’t right with Josh and as mentioned they only looked good when Cook had decent runs.

There has been a marked decline in the last several years, imo.

Probably due to rule changes, no? Not sure how much of that could be helped though.

the fact most starters don’t play in the pre-season is beyond dumb. No hitting the QB has ruined the game too. There are too many teams and way too many shite QBs

This has been true for a long time though.

I wonder if any of it is attributable to lack of talent coming up? I haven’t followed too closely but far fewer kids are playing the game now, as I understand (and for good reason), so eventually that’s gotta thin the ranks, right?

That is a good point. Kids can’t even play real football till age what 14? That’s high school for christ sakes. I am sure the fact kids cry if yelled at today has something to do with it too. Who would want to coach today?

There was a lot of issues.  It is hard to be the fall guy when you consistently put up one of the better offenses in the league. But they no showed vs cincy in thr playoffs.  They no showed a few times this year.  

His offense is very predictable.  It is basically just shotgun and let Allen make a play.  Force it to Diggs.  All runs out of shotgun.  They have no passing concepts off of staple runs.  No play action.

He wasn't the whole issue but at end of the day they hired him because he was Allen's buddy and QB coach.  With a talent like Allen they need to do much better than Ken Dorsey.  

Dorsey the fall guy here but Dermie needs to go as well.  He has held this team back.  Brandon Beane is an alright GM but got totally revered by Bills fans.  I get it ... he took Allen and got them out of the drought.  But if you go back and actually look at his moves, he is totally overrated.   Not awful but not some guru GM Bills fans wanted to act like he was.  

Bills are in trouble.   Gabe Davis is not coming back, some team will pay him much mlre than he is worth.  Have Diggs' brother on twitter again saying Stef needs to get out of there.  The defense is getting old and a few key players got big injuries (most importantly Milano who is/was a top 3 LBer in the league)

It is interesting to see what it will take for them to move on from Beane and Derm the Carolina guys.   They have had success, when for years they had not so I get it is tough.  The walls are closing in, Derm took play calling away from Frazier then got him to step down.  (Never unserstood it, Derm the defensive guy doesn't call thr defense?).  Then they fire Dorsey.   Running out of scapegoats.   Derm constantly is bad in game.  They say he is a details guy but we just saw 12 men on the field to lose the game.  Countless let downs at end of games where they botch the game.  

As for who to replace?  A nice young offensive mind would be ideal.  Not sure which ones are ready to HC.  But just by what they have done, the Lions OC seems nice.  

The best teams in the league have a HC that runs the offense and calls plays.  Yet teams with young QBs still go defensive HC.  Looking at you Chicago.  Working for Texans this far tho.
