You continue to just spin stuff into what you want it to be. Doesn't make it so. But enjoy your holiday season. Your inability to accept the truth then, and now, is something I think you should reconsider. We know that people have been deeply harmed by the Democrat policies, and have suffered through the worst economy of their lifetime. That is a BIG reason Democrats lost this last round. Now, you can ignore me all you want. I am spot on today as I was with the last economic collapse, and people did the same thing then as you are trying now. I was of course correct, as I am now. Now. If you have a problem with what I have said then I surmise you also object to the Democrat leaders as I posted above who are now echoing my assertions. Its time to stop folding your arms and holding your breath. We all need you and yours to grow up and stop acting like this.

Oh well, I had hoped for better, particularly given the clout of the people now admitting the truth. I think the nation needs and benefits from a healthy and normal Democrat party. Until Democrats are able to admit what has transpired I submit that we will not see that party return to health. Some of the Democrat leaders are trying to get people back to reality, but will they listen? You are really hung up on this. The economy is overall strong. There are bad aspects of it and politicians will capitalize on these aspects. Now that red tie team is in charge it can return to being the greatest economy in the history of the world.

Inflation soared under Biden, notably because of his misplaced attacks on energy. This was easily predictable, and at the time plenty did just that. Then, when the inevitable happened.....Biden pretended it wasnt true......then, Biden pretended it was "transitional". He focking lied, and people had to suffer MORE because of his (A) utter stupidity and (B) lying. Yeah, I have an issue with it. Rich people have never been richer, there are more millionaires than ever before, interest rates have room to work with, unemployment is historically low, wages are growing faster than inflation, stock market at all time highs. He inherited low inflation and then attacked the energy industry, and when you do that EVERYTHING is impacted. You DO NOT attack energy, this is simple stuff. Not to mention how he forced Europe to rely on Russia. He then lied about it, when he should have allowed the Fed to deal with it. He then lied again, calling it "transitory" when he should have allowed the Fed to deal with it. He then threw gasoline on it with the "Inflation Reduction Act", this move was infuriatingly stupid and needless. Things can change very quickly. If lying to the public is the important thing to voters, well I don’t think that will be an issue. In the meantime there are mass deportations, mass government worker firings, tax cuts (we know this is the most important thing ) and world peace to establish. The country is in far better shape now than it was four years ago, the government is controlled by his party. I’d much rather be walking into this as Trump than Biden in 2021. The Real timschochet 6,642 Posted November 25, 2024 @RLLD question for you: you wrote that Biden attacked the energy industry which increased inflation. Assuming that’s correct, are you suggesting that our policy should be to ignore all concerns about climate change and simply give oil and coal companies carte blanche to do whatever they want? This was Trump’s exact campaign position, I just want to see if you agree with it 100%.

The Real timschochet 6,642 Posted November 25, 2024 Let’s also be very clear: the vast majority of scientists who study man made climate change tell us that it is approaching catastrophic proportions for the human race but that there is still time to fight it by attempting to restrict fossil fuels. A small minority of scientists say that it’s already too late, the catastrophe is coming no matter what we do. Another small minority (though magnified by the conservative movement in this country) argue that the whole thing is overblown and we don’t have anything to worry about. Our new President agrees with this last position, while Biden agreed with the vast majority.

I would be open to alternative energy sources where the market drives them forward. But I was not ok with the way Biden approached it. The world continues to use fossil fuels, and is expanding them For us to sacrifice our economy to deliver some impact on the .042% if CO2 in the atmosphere is inane. Our policy should be to sustain our position through the fossil fuel solution, and gradually introduce alternatives, over time. We should not allow ourselves to be victimized by corporate interests who try to sell the world ending in 10 years..... I say lets get back to not antagonizing the energy industry until we can make changes that does not dramatically harm the lower classes, as Biden did. Government has no business forcing this.

Thank you. Follow up question: the viable alternatives to fossil fuels- nuclear, solar, wind etc. are all obviously quite different but they have one thing in common: they all require large government funding to subsidize them at least at first. While you’re opposed to government “forcing things” (which I assume means restrictions on fossil fuels) are you also opposed to funding? And what if China makes a major push towards nuclear energy and is government funded? Should our position remain “we’re gonna wait until the market does it”?
