Inflation after Covid shutdown and people who are already ”rich” getting even richer  were the main drivers of poor people having issues.

Inflation soared under Biden, notably because of his misplaced attacks on energy.  This was easily predictable, and at the time plenty did just that.  Then, when the inevitable happened.....Biden pretended it wasnt true......then, Biden pretended it was "transitional".  He focking lied, and people had to suffer MORE because of his (A) utter stupidity and (B) lying.

Inflation was a global issue. It has now come down and keys are being handed to a new team with an economy in solid shape and growing at a healthy pace. Rich people have never been richer, there are more millionaires than ever before, interest rates have room to work with, unemployment is historically low, wages are growing faster than inflation, stock market at all time highs.

I think it could be true that Trump is able to quickly undo the damage done over the last four years, and return the situation to pre-COVID status, which would likely impede Democrats.

Let’s also be very clear: the vast majority of scientists who study man made climate change tell us that it is approaching catastrophic proportions for the human race but that there is still time to fight it by attempting to restrict fossil fuels. A small minority of scientists say that it’s already too late, the catastrophe is coming no matter what we do. Another small minority (though magnified by the conservative movement in this country) argue that the whole thing is overblown and we don’t have anything to worry about. Our new President agrees with this last position, while Biden agreed with the vast majority.

I would be open to alternative energy sources where the market drives them forward.  But I was not ok with the way Biden approached it.   The world continues to use fossil fuels, and is expanding them   For us to sacrifice our economy to deliver some impact on the .042% if CO2 in the atmosphere is inane.

Our policy should be to sustain our position through the fossil fuel solution, and gradually introduce alternatives, over time.   We should not allow ourselves to be victimized by corporate interests who try to sell the world ending in 10 years.....

I say lets get back to not antagonizing the energy industry until we can make changes that does not dramatically harm the lower classes, as Biden did.

Government has no business forcing this.

Follow up question: the viable alternatives to fossil fuels- nuclear, solar, wind etc. are all obviously quite different but they have one thing in common: they all require large government funding to subsidize them at least at first. While you’re opposed to government “forcing things” (which I assume means restrictions on fossil fuels) are you also opposed to funding? And what if China makes a major push towards nuclear energy and is government funded? Should our position remain “we’re gonna wait until the market does it”?
