Been traveling a bunch lately. The airports the past few weeks have been absofuckingloutley packed. Haven’t seen lines like this ever really. Hotels jammed, every bar and restaurant packed in multiple cities.

The problem is it was short lived.  We now produce less steel than we did in 2017.  The way it works is the tariff increases prices, then there is a shift to domestic production to avoid the added cost, but the intl competitors are still getting the cheaper product without the tariff so they fall behind, and then domestic production drops off because it's not needed anymore.  That's the argument for free trade.
