Adam FaSchiff wants to save democracy by destroying the republic

It’s amazing how many times we have to remind liberals in these forums that this country was never intended to be a democracy.  It’s a constitutional republic, a confederation of states where the President is elected not by individuals, but by states.  It made sense then, and it makes sense now.  Imagine the tyranny that would ensue if the urban population centers of this country were empowered to dictate policy to the vast rural areas of the country that dominate the landscape. The Electoral College isn’t going anywhere - not without a lot of bloodshed anyways.

GC leftists like Tim, Honcho and the pigeon feeder have been brainwashed by MSNBC and CNN into believing that communism is democracy and constitutional rights are fascist. DJT is the enemy and Adam Schiff and Pelosi et Al are the patriots. They still believe Trump/Russia colluded with no produced evidence. I’m fearful we are headed for very dark times.

What party did the NAZIs belong to you dumb phuck?

LOL. Well, yes in the party name they called themselves Socialist.

And North Korea calls itself: Democratic People's Republic of Korea but they are neither democratic, nor a republic.

Gotcha! 😀

Hitler was ant-capitalist. The historical fact is that socialism during the last 100 years has resulted in fascist control of populations and has killed millions. We can easily name them, starting with Hitler’s Nazis and including the Soviet Union as well as China, Cambodia, North Korea, Cuba and countless banana republics (any nation with a name including “The People’s Republic of.”

This is really terrible history. Almost everything you wrote here is incorrect starting with the notion that Hitler hated capitalism: the first thing that Hitler did, upon taking power, was purge all of the socialist elements of the Nazi Party (its called the Night of Long Knives, look it up. June of 1934.)

Fascism and communism are equally evil ideologies but they aren’t the same and shouldn’t be conflated. Neither has anything to do with democracy or American liberalism.

Just shut up Tim

“Hitler expressed opposition to capitalism, regarding it as having Jewish origins and accusing capitalism of holding nations ransom to the interests of a parasitic cosmopolitan rentier class.”

Yes he did. Before taking power. But once in power he was very pro business. Which is why prominent right wing American capitalists of the time, like Henry Ford and Charlie Wilson loved Hitler and were very pro Nazi. As were a good chunk of the Republican Party.

Yeah as a means to fund his war but believed a planned economy was far superior to a market economy. Goebells was also very anti-capitalist. That’s all I’m going to say on the topic.

Back to the fascist scum Schiff

Ok, I want you to read this and then let me know if you disagree. When it comes to these fat cat industrialists, now and in history, their political affiliation lies with whatever party or politician is best for their bottom line. Trump was a Democrat. Why? The bulk of his business was in the North East, in democrat strongholds.  The Koch brothers are republicans, yet they hate Trump. Do you think it’s because they find him unfit? No. The Koch brothers are open borders advocates, because it’s good for their bottom line. If Trump were a Republican that played along like the Bush clan, they would be slobbing his knob too. Wake up Tim. Power seeks power. They DGAF about much else. So stop playing the democrats are all good guys, republicans are all bad guys game. It’s silly.

No that’s wrong about Hitler. You’re correct about Goebbels but he had little to do with economic control. The ones who did, first Schacht and then Funk, were pro-capitalist. It’s true that Funk in particular was corporatist, following Mussolini’s model of the state directing private business. But that’s far removed from socialism.

Yes. I generally agree with your point. And I certainly don’t believe that Democrats are all good guys or Republicans are all bad guys. But in this forum the opposite contention is constantly made, and I push back against that.

I disagree. I doubt you would find many right wingers here that like Mitch McConnell or various other establishment Republicans. Many of us wish the MTG’s and Boeberts would also go away. Yet the left wingers here will pretty much defend any D.  You have defended the squad yourself.  Stop being such a Homer.

I’m not wrong you’re wrong as usual -

in August 1936 he personally wrote a “Memorandum on the Four-Year Plan 1936.

“In this memorandum his admiration and fear of the Soviet system of planned economy were expressed: “The German economy, however, will learn to understand the new economic tasks, or it will prove itself to be incapable of continuing to survive in these modern times in which the Soviet state sets up a gigantic plan.”

Stop derailing my thread.

Stood in front of the American public and lied his ass off, knowingly, and harmed the country.  There’s politics and spin, then there is what this POS did.

This is the way I view almost all of them…..but there is little doubt that Schiff is the worst kind of scum.

He is sort of the living Greg Marmalard…

His actions are among THE MOST repugnant of any politician in my lifetime

Yup.  POS said he had proof that Trump colluded with the Russians to influence the election.  It was a flat out lie, designed to take down the Trump Presidency.  Sounds like a political insurrection to me.  Hang the focker from the gallows.

Hey, don't make assumptions.  For all you know, sucking all that DNC c@ck at the Cult of DNC gloryhole could pay well for all you know.  Squidtard is probably a multimillionaire.
