Malik Nabers may be the first receiver taken.

No he's definitely Elijah Moore.  Elite short area quickness and can get separation early in routes, but undersized.

Elijah should've been a better pro, but his attitude got in the way.

Elijah in college did a lot of short stuff.  McConkey time and time again caught balls downfield.  He avg 15.7 per catch last season.

Yeah McConkey's 30 receptions and 478 yards is elite!!!!

Are you serious??? He'll be lucky if he's Renfrow.

I was very wrong, I can admit it. Unlike the idiot who still thinks a bad QB can't support a WR1 (aka Malik Nabers). I forget who said that

Maybe, probably not.  Everyone is looking for the next Cooper Kupp or Edelman.  Cards wasted a pick on one, many others have as well.  It's one thing to be a weapon on a great team with superior talent across the board against overmatched opponents.  It's another to do it in the big man's league, where the teams are all comparable and the defense is full of freakishly talented men looking to destroy you.

I don't know enough him to say if he has the cerebral capabilities to do it, but he won't go in the first round.

What’s up?

Hey buddy, thanks for bumping this to remind everybody I was right.  McConkey didn't go in the first round, and he isn't the best WR in that class.

good call, I would say (as a Charger guy) hes the second best WR in this class

Thomas Jr had an incredible year on the biggest garbage team, and is a more physical specimen

It was overall a great year for all the guys mentioned. Especially Thomas and Nabers. Odunze did what I thought he would being behind Moore and Allen. He showed well but not tested all that much. Often thrown wildly to as Williams was about to be sacked. McConkey showed very well. He was mr. realiable and scored 7 TDs to top it off.  If anyone had a tough year as a rookie drafted high, it was Harrison Jr. who was supposed to be the only guy with no question marks. I still think he will be really good but someone needs to light a fire under his ass. Maybe Harrison Sr?

Top WR’s are a dime a dozen in the NFL now.  Many teams have one. Some have two.

I've come around to thinking the NFL is at this time, more about coaching and maybe 1 or 2 great players than anything else.

This WR draft is pretty sucky for the most part. Loaded with good RBs though

For sure. RBs and TEs are the class this year. QBs and WRs will have to come out of nowhere. Pretty bad draft to have a lot of needs. Just draft best available in first two rounds I would think.

Certainly had a better year.  Doesn't a career make, tho.  Time will tell.

A lot of good day 2 WRs this year in my opinion.

Well, McMillan, Burden, and Hunter seem the cream of the crop. But Egbuka, Harris, Restrapo? Not sure.

I like Egbuka a lot.  He should go first round.  Golden was impressive in the playoff games.  But he should also go first round.

Hunter I assume will not be playing much WR in the NFL.

Hmm. Everything I've seen, up to this point, is leading in the direction of full time receiver. I guess it depends on who drafts him though. :dunno:

I have heard the exact opposite.   If he were to be a full time CB I wouldnt doubt that he would get some plays on offense here or there.  Unique player.

that doesn't make much sense, hes elite on D, and good as a WR

gadget guy, return man, maybe he can play 2 ways, would be fun to see again, been since who?  Deion?

Well, in this draft, that guy is going early. Whoever drafts him will have a clear vision of what they want from him. He'll be a fun player to watch in his rookie year.

Here is one write up from nfl.com. I mean, I get it, these are just opinions.

Despite Deshaun Watson's injury issues (and subpar play), the Browns pass on a quarterback at No. 2 to select a true two-way star in Hunter. I expect the Heisman Trophy winner to focus on offense at the next level because of his special ball skills and athleticism, both of which are lacking in the Browns' wideout room. And just imagine Hunter occasionally lining up opposite Denzel Ward at the other corner spot when DC Jim Schwartz wants to match up with the league's top receiver duos.

Hunter probably goes to Titans, Browns, or Giants? Or possibly even the Pats. Depending on the QBs. And then Abdul Carter.

I can see the argument for part time WR. I'm not sure of those teams DBs but if any have two good corners, I can also see him as a back up CB and full time receiver.

FOX Sports' NFL insider Jay Glazer conducted a poll of 13 head coaches and general managers, and almost all of them came to the same conclusion.

"It was overwhelmingly cornerback," Glazer said on FOX Sports' pregame show Sunday. "The one GM who would put him at wide receiver, the reason why was elite ball skills. Everyone else said cornerback. Why? Elite ball skills. But they said it's just so hard to find a shutdown cornerback like that.

"However, they all said, even though we'd start him at cornerback, we'd definitely find packages and plays for him on the offensive side of the ball."

Maybe so. I just see a lot of mocks having Hunter going to Cleveland. Cornerback doesn't seem to be a weakness of theirs as they have Ward, Emerson, and Newsome. These guys are no slouches in the least. Maybe Cleveland doesn't take him.

But whatever happens, happens I guess.
