Agreed. Always seemed to engage the fans, sometimes when he shouldn't have. Federer was a robot, even though he is my favorite.

Liberals made the vaccination a political issue.  People not wanting to get the vaccination was based off of not wanting to take anything they felt wasn't necessary.  Everything about the reports said that healthier and younger people are significantly less likely to require medical intervention and death, from COVID.  Those people were of the mindset that they'd rather take their chances with COVID than with the vaccination.  That's a personal choice and they were welcome to it.  I thought Liberals were all about "My body my choice"?  I guess that's only when it suits their agenda.  Also, as information came out about the vaccination not preventing you from getting COVID OR transmitting it to others, it strengthened their stance on not getting the vaccination.  Yet, liberal mandates kept coming.  That's why it is/was a political issue.  That fact that you want to put the false narrative out there that liberals made people afraid of the shot, just shows your bias and proof that liberals pushed the vaccine because they hate Trump.

The idea of vax mandates was complicated and made with many factors in mind and being learned on the fly.

This is not what most of them said.  Generally speaking with a couple exceptions at the local level, they said they would take it if it was backed by science and not just Trump.  Yes, those comments were “making it political,” but they didn’t say they wouldn’t take it.  There was of course overall skepticism since a vaccine had never been developed that quickly.  Thanks Trump for making it happen!

I’d agree that the mandates were political.  And that they shouldn’t have been mandated at all let alone for college and professional athletes.  But let’s be real.  After the vax was authorized, the pushback against it started well before the mandates, and came from the right wing.

I'm obviously not, just wanted to preempt that so we don't have any confusion like in the Tax thread), the reason he said that was because the person (a Democrat, Geraldo Rivera), asked him if it would be ready by that date.  Trump didn't pick the date, the Democrat did.  Oh, he was rather non-committal about it too.
