Puka had the best statistical season for a rookie WRs ever. Where did he end up in the overall WR rankings, around 9. If we assume that he can equal the best season ever for a rookie WR then he is being drafted at his ceiling. Maybe it is flawed logic but back to back record rookie season seems like a reasonable ceiling to place on him.
Ray_T 740 Posted August 16, 2024 I'd have to put Chubb here. Multiple ligament tear. thats a 2 year rehab. Im not touching him. He may play this year, but he wont be himself.

Thanks Ray for your reply. RB3 with RB2 upside if he gets good volume. if Chubb plays that may be enough to restrict him to RB3. but if Chubb misses the first 6 weeks (for example) then he would be a low end RB2 for those 6 weeks and a RB3 for the rest. Ford finished Rb 14 last year. I was stunned to see that, because from a football standpoint he was average at best. The 5 receiving Tds really padded the stats. This year I expect he'll continue getting 3rd down work, but considering how mediocre he was (clearly not the work horse the Browns needed when Chubb went down), I could see the Browns spreading out early down and goal line work a little more - Browns signed Foreman and Strong is still there. Obviously when Cubb does come back... Ford will be officially dead.

Ford will be officially dead. thats from playing in a good offense. he had a few big games where he racked up some garbage time carries. but with Chubb there even if he takes like 40% of the carries, thats likely enough to bump him down to RB3. if chubb gets more than half the carries well...... you know where that goes

Yeah, since we dkn't.mnow yet what's the severity of Gibbs hammy .I'm not avoiding him but definitely.dropping him down some in my rankings. Thus,.David Montgomery.gets a nice boost in the rankings. SO if you draft Gibbs you MUST get Montgomery too. Other players I'm looking to avoid are.... RB Aaron Jones- yeah he's still talented I think age is catching up to him. He didn't really have a good 2023 until the playoffs. New team and not sure if he'll stay healthy. WR Stefon Diggs- with Nico Collins and Tank Dell there Diggs won't.have the production he had in Buffalo. Waiting to see how long it takes for his.attitude to emerge.and cause.problems in the locker room. I'd be drafting Collins and Dell ahead of him. ANY GREEN BAY PACKERS WR's- too many guys.there that can have decent numbers but no clear cut #1 guy. Love has too many options to throw to so if I get any WRs it'd probably be Watson who seems to have improved his hammy.situation. He'd still only be my #3 or #4 guy. COMMANDERS RBs- They have Brian Robinson and Austin Ekeler. By themselves they.could put up decent numbers but it could turn out to be a 50/50 split for the both of them.and you can't count on that for your rb group.
weepaws 3,157 Posted August 18, 2024 I’m targeting B Robinson of the Redskins, I think his ADP is ready good.
rotisserieking 56 Posted August 19, 2024 I'm drafting no Chargers - just don't trust anything about that offense. Tired of getting burned by Herbert too.

It's crazy how no matter what pick I have, I end up with a team that looks very similar. Really, past the first round, I pick the same 2-3 players or so each round. The only players I never end up with are- Breece Hall, Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Sam LaPorta, Jalen Hurts, or Joe Burrow. It's not that I have any of those guys specifically on a do not draft list. They just always get selected way before I would pick them. thats the way it should be. you have guys you like at their adp. you wanna make sure you get them, you go take em 1 round before their adp arrives. if you are properly prepared, around any one ADP if you have 2 or 3 targets and one or two of those will sometimes be gone by the time u pick so to some degree pick is largely made for you. if all are gone you will sometimes end up with someone different but I have found a lot of my teams have some crossover in terms of talent.
