The only people in America upset about Harris doing campaign rallies in swing states instead of press conferences are the press and the Trump campaign.

We certainly don't expect you sheep to complain.

Everybody else who expects POTUS candidates to sell themselves to the electorate are right to criticize her for her lack of courage to stand up and take questions from the press.

Rusty used to be in the press. Now he thinks it's great that Harris doesn't talk to the press, and that the press isn't pushing very hard.

Trump never stops talking, and it’s all about what a disaster Biden/Harris are, how unfair the press is to him and 2020 muh fraud. You guys act like he’s out there with pie charts outlining his vision for the next 4 years. 😂

The one thing in our favor, and by "our" I mean people who want transparency, is that segments of the MSM might still be a little sore that they were gaslit and made to look like idiots for 4 years of defending Biden's mental state.  Muh deep fake videos%$@!

So now that the right is calling them out again, this time for being biotches to Harris, some of them may push back a little.  Like this guy.

Personally I think she should give lots of press conferences and interviews. But if her team has calculated that she can win without doing so then more power to them. She’s running against a guy who has broken every rule of politics and said things that would destroy any other candidate. Only today he endorsed Mark Robinson, a Holocaust denier, advocate of murder who would deny women the right to vote. This sort of crap doesn’t seem to hurt Trump at all. So why shouldn’t Kamala try to get away with the relatively minor sin of giving as few interviews as possible? Maybe if you guys ran as her opposition a guy who wasn’t a totally incompetent a$$hole it might make a difference, but you didn’t…

Her team has calculated that she can't win if the electorate hears her speak.

I called it early. They will keep her from speaking unless it's pre-planned and on teleprompter.

They will not allow her to speak freely. Because it will torpedo her campaign.

No. You completely misunderstand what’s going on. As usual.

You need to read up on the campaigns of Ronald Reagan in 1980 and Barack Obama in 2008, which were both quite similar to Kamala’s approach. The key to these three campaigns is made up of 3 parts:

1. You spread optimism.
2. You create a GENERAL image of goodwill without many specifics which allows voters to create their own image of you that they prefer.
3. You create a sense of inevitability.

Any thing that detracts from these three goals, which a personal interview or press conference would certainly do, becomes unnecessary. Thats what Reagan did, what Obama did, and what Harris is now doing. I’m not saying I particularly admire this strategy or that it’s good for the country. I would prefer if the old days of Abe Lincoln and Stephen Douglas seriously laying out their views before the nation would return. But they won’t. In our age of mass media what Kamala is doing is a proven winning strategy so long as you have the charisma to pull it off. She does.

No, it won't.

If the dem base had any integrity, they would be demanding that she be forthcoming with her policies.

But you have no integrity. You're content to let her hide as long as possible in the hopes that she can beat the bad orange man.

It's really pathetic.

How about this- she makes one statement:

“As President, I won’t impose a 10-20% tariff on all imports that come into this country.”
Please explain why this isn’t preferable, all by itself, to your guy.

I understand exactly what's going on.

The dems staged a coup, to oust the guy you were convinced was capable of serving another term as potus, despite all of the evidence to the contrary.

They have now convinced you that the most unlikeable politician in generations is all of a sudden the savior of America after years of telling you the exact opposite.

And, once again, you line up at the trough to gobble up as much of the tripe as you can before they switch it out for haggis and tell you it's all going to be filet mingon if you just keep voting for them.

As a centrist, you seem surprisingly gleeful at being gaslit once again by the MSM on the Democrat candidate.  Do you think other centrists share this centrist view, of enjoying being a lemming to the media?  Seems kinda uncentrist to me.  :dunno:

Seems relevant, since the other candidate talks incessantly about himself. I prefer silence.

Very good post until the last part.  She is historically unlikable.  The MSM is creating your #3 by enabling her to avoid questions, and creating the illusion that she is the amalgamation of all of the great orators of our time.  If she veers one foot from the teleprompter she sucks, bad.  That's why she isn't doing interviews or press conferences.

You've proven an utter inability to evaluate people (Biden), or evaluate the bias of the MSM (too many instances to count), so I know this post is wasted on you.  Someday maybe I'll learn.  :dunno:

It’s you who has been fooled into thinking she’s unlikable. Why? Because Fox News told you so? Because her approval ratings were low? Her approval ratings have been tied to Biden and inflation. Most of America knew nothing about her until a month ago. When they listen to her they really like her. I wrote she has charisma.

Liberals refused to accept that Reagan had charisma. You may be too young to remember (I’m an old man so I do). They considered him an unlikable angry guy from California and a total idiot. They were frustrated that he never gave interviews except to very friendly sources and always spoke in platitudes. They called him the “Teflon” man and were incredibly frustrated by his ascent. Reagan was smarter than they were.

I think it's great and amusing that MAGAturds obsess and make a fuss over whether Harris gives an unscripted news conference. I'm all for Clownzo doing unscripted news conferences, because a piece of his political viability dies every time he does.

By the way, "the press" refers to newspapers, because, you know, the thing newspapers get printed on is a press.

The media - which also includes the broadcast, radio and online-only outlets - is a shell of itself and doesn't adhere to the gold standard of unbiased, balanced and factual that we followed to the letter oh so long ago.

So at this time I don't give a rat's ass whether she talks to it, particularly since her campaign is doing fabulous without it.

Except for that 1964 speech which launched him to two terms as governor of your state, then two terms as president.

In case you want to watch it.

This makes no sense.  Trump just sat with a group of black women journalists who couldn't have been more biased.  Harris wouldn't join, even though they'd have bowed to her altar.  She knows she sucks at anything unscripted.

More importantly, my post was making fun of @zsasz, who calls himself a centrist but is every bit as blue pilled as you are.

Otherwise, good post, good effort.

Clownzo off of the bat was rude, defensive and made an ass of himself.

Again, on what issues would I classify as a blue pill.

There are plenty of centrists, moderates and conservatives who can't stand Clownzo and see him as a danger to democracy. Clownzo dislike doesn't make one a liberal. Harris now leads in all battleground states except Nevada, and she's gaining ground in Florida and Texor.

Just look at the ol' polls!

I've never liked her. Not when she was DA, not when she was AG and certainly not when she was Senator.

The entire country felt the same about her when she ran in '16. Her term as VP has done nothing to change my mind about her.

She's quite possibly the worst person to ever be considered for the position. And that includes Al Gore.

You are not allowed to dislike a candidate without tim telling you that it's Foxnews' fault. This is what the left has become.
