I've had my years of easier days but I never felt comfortable not contributing my time to the company that had afforded me such a good life. I had a work ethic, and when I burned out, I called it quits instead of milking it.

I get that.  When i started here, they threw me into this job (I was just filing papers at first but then someone quit). I jumped in, worked my butt off, overhauled all the systems and made them more efficient.  So everything is kinda on easy mode now.   I'm not so much "milking it"... they just keep me around because they appreciate what i did and I'm around for for "emergencies" that pop up.   Then I kill a few hours a day getting paid to read about fantasy football and mess with you hahaha
