Do I think God had a hand in saving Trump? Are you kidding of course God did. Any atheist will whine and moan about how ridiculous this is. I would have done the same at one point. You either haven't experienced the power of God and what miracles can happen, or you have ignored them. You will see eventually when the time is right.

I think the old Trump did some shitty things. No one is perfect. What I am hoping the assassination attempt triggered was a realization that Trump needs to take out every bit of scourge from not just the US, but would politics. The people way behind the scenes to had a hand in the assassination attempt.

So, God saved Trump and decided it was better that someone else die from that bullet instead?  It was his time and not Trump's?  I can't agree with that logic and it has nothing to do with belief in God.

Yes. God saves some people and doesn't others why? We will never know, but it happens. Plus Trump has the ability to change the course of history.

You think God wants Trump to deport millions of people causing pain and suffering for millions?  He wants Trump to refuse to help other people?  He wants to give a predator more power to take advantage of others?  God wants Ukraine to suffer untold tragedies at the hands of Russians?  God wants Trump to let poor people suffer and sick people die?

I believe it. The odds of him surviving that were very small. The local authorities were even aiding the shooter. And yet by the grace of God he survived. I think the people who are really uncomfortable in this thread should be questioning their beliefs since God saved the candidate they don't want to win.

I can't tell you why God saves some people but he doesn't others. Why did God wait until I was in my late thirties to give me my vision? Who knows. God aka source intervenes when it decides it's right time.

Maybe.  There is no point to any of this then?  Why did god decide to send his only son to preach to a bunch of Jews and Muslims?  He could send him down right now and preach on Fox News and I'd believe if I saw him walk on water.  God seems kinda stupid.

Because God doesn't work that way. This is all a game. What fun would it be if we knew all the answers immediately? Also there around more stories than you could ever read about the way people have experienced God. I hadn't experienced it until a few years ago so I understand. It wasn't until I began to change my mind a little that God decided to reveal itself fully to me.
