Some of it made sense. But one of the things that did NOT make sense was “Democrats spent too much time demonizing their opponents.” 
 

Now personally I’m not a fan of demonizing anyone. But I’m forced to ask the question: if demonization doesn’t work for Democrats, why did it work for Trump? Trump called Harris a radical Communist and warned that her election would bring about the end of the United States. Trump lied about immigrants and refugees and demonized them constantly. He also spent a lot of time demonizing transgender folks.  So why does that work for one side and not the other?

Did Trump demonize immigrants and refugees or the persons and parties who placed no limits on them and overwhelmed our systems?  Did he demonize transgerndered folks or those who sought to place them in prominence before our impressionable youth?  Perhaps it has to do with the connection of the demonized state to supporting realities.  If there were some believable basis for the demonization perhaps it held and if not, then not.  Perhaps it has to do with the frequency with which it occurs, sort of a boy who cried wolf scenario. Did the democrats go there once too often?

 

What I have observed is those attempting to gain and grasp power, even when they believe they are doing so for altruistic reasons inevitably fail of their altruism and seduced by the power are corrupted by it.  That they will be corrupted by it is presaged by the methods they use to obtain that power.  Both sides demonizing the other is a warning to me that whichever side obtains power thereby is not to be trusted.  I trust the new boss no more than the old one.  Still, we soldier on avoiding the depths to which we might fall while never attaining the heights we might reach.

politics has reached a new level of deception & outright lies.   those that partake in it are the lowest form of scum.  we now reached a point where the people trying to get elected are basically bribing certain segments of the public.  see student loan bailouts, $50,000 start up fees for business you don't have to pay back, etc., etc.
Bribery for votes.  Lies that are proven lies that are repeated over & over.  that is what it has come to.

Demonization is defined as an exaggeration. Of course I attacked Trump and I will continue to do so. But I don’t think I exaggerated. Everything I wrote was accurate and based on direct statements he made. 
 

And you’ll notice I refrained from attacking Trump supporters. Other liberals did but I detest collectivization of any sort. Trump continues to attack whole groups of people. (Which is one reason I have defined him, quite accurately, as a bigot.)

Did it work for the Dems?  You're playing a bunch of what ifs because that other guy did it but the only thing that matters is the Dems constant lying and insulting the other side turned off a lot of voters on the fence.  Please do the same in 2028.

And this is where you lost people.   The attacks on Trump were over the top, entirely.

The main issue for Democrats being that their ideas and policies are ruinous, so when implemented they actually hurt people. So what did they have to run on? Very little. And the denigration of others is already the top tool in their box, but they overdid it.

Dude I wrote that MAGA women in my experience weren’t that attractive. It wasn’t “ALL women the support Trump” and it was meant to be a joke anyhow (well somewhat.) I didn’t say anything about their mental capacity. I could however say a lot about your lack of it.
