Padres continue to be in the most prospects don’t pan out anyways let’s deal with proven now have arguably the best lineup in the NL with a top pitching staff and hands down best bullpen in baseball. A+

I really wanted the Brewers to acquire more power/hitting on the left side of the infield. As deep as the farm system - I'm surprised how little they did.  Picking up two better relievers though, along with our starting pitching is good, but every year we get knocked out of the playoffs it's been generally an issue of run production.

Trading deadlines aren't fun, when the team you root for doesn't do much, if anything...

AA hasn't been right, IMO, since the season ended last year...  Signing players to minor league contracts and then throwing money at Profar after doing his Jeff Blauser impression last year...

Of course all the injuries don't help, but who knows if even a healthy Braves team would have made noise...

I like the royals moves... namely extending lugo when the market for starting pitching wasn't that great and what seems to be a reasonable contract. 

Then you only gave up Freddie Fermin and a couple minor leagues who weren't top prospects for some players with years of team control and improved depth in the rotation and the floor of the outfield.   Really a nice job of improving in the short term for a chance to make a wild card run, while smartly investing in the future. 

I also think the royals really have to get these moves right in the moment because they want taxpayers to partially fund a billion dollar new stadium and entertainment district.

The NY Mets haven’t won a World Series since 1986. They only have won two. The Florida Marlins also have two.

Just stoking the embers of a once hot rivalry. Let’s face it, NY sports kinda suck now. Underachievers and bad teams abound. But I think the Giants may have turned the corner.
