Cal should def be MVP. More impactful season than Judge.

Not definitely. It’s very close.

Judge is a stud but Cal playing catcher, having best offensive season as a catcher in history, power numbers and that the Yankees suck asss should make this a no brainer.

Unfortunately looks like east cast bias will rear its head again…although M’s are hottest team in baseball right now and Cal may get to 60 so maybe some recency bias will help the rightful winner to come forward here.

Yanks are like a game and half ahead over 156 games 😂 woooowww!

Cal will lead the league in homers, lead the AL in RBI, win a gold glove at Catcher. Led the league in innings at the position. It’s crazy.

If he played on the Yankees would be a no brainer.

1978- Jim Rice> Ron Guidry

1986- Roger Clemens > Don Mattingly

1999- Pudge Rodriguez > Derek Jeter

Thats 3 off the top of my head where the Yankee got screwed.

I should have quoted your other post. Yankee suck asss ? (As a team, yeah I’m not a fan - maybe I’m even a hater) but this year they certainly do not suck asss (won’t win WS) and east coast bias -   Wwwwwwaaaaaa.

A Gold Glove switch hitting catcher leads the league in innings caught, Homers and RBi’s and the division championship and he’s not winning MVP. I love Judge but what kind of travishamockery is this.

And yes the Yankees suck ass!

So, A.L. MVP. Who you got? Judge or Raleigh? Very close.  Of course I’m going with AJ,  but the case can be made for Raleigh. Judge is hitting almost 100 points higher and may win the batting title. Raleigh has more HR’s and plays a premium position.

I'd say Judge.

It would be a great story if they able to get to the playoffs, as long as the Red Sox make it

Shite owner but they arrived a year early. Two years ago they had almost zero minor league pitching and now they are loaded. So despite ownership they’ve coming

Yep...  If the Indians can pull it off, it would mark the biggest deficit overcome to win a division or league in MLB history.

78 Red Sox were a bit more formidable than the 2025 Tigers. And won 99 games.

leads the league in innings caught, are we really taking that into consideration lol.  fwiw he caught way more innings last year.  Played 135 games at catcher compared to 118 this year (to date)

I also think hes the MVP fwiw

offensively Judge is far more valuable though and having a much better year than him at the plate

100 percent. Catching is actually a taxing position, handling the pitchers, framing etc. CF’s stand out there and scratch their balls for innings at a time.

the deciding factor for me though is Raleigh plays in a real stadium, and Judge plays in Williamsport

There is that.

Judge is a beast so this is one of those arguments where it’s not meant to say one guy sucks (except the Yankees which of course are the worst) He was also hurt for a couple weeks. Cal has had a historic season at that position and the more impactful season for his team.

Judge has 27 HR’s on the road, 22 at home.

I am not arguing against Judge trust me I have loved him since I met him 10 years ago

But Cal is historic this year.  Judge is the 2nd best player to play the game the last 20 years

BREAKING: Major League Baseball will use the Automated Ball-Strike Challenge System (ABS) during the entire 2026 season ABS CHALLENGE RULES: - Each team will get two challenges and can keep them if they're successful - Challenges can only be initiated by a pitcher, catcher, or batter, and the request must come right after the pitch - To signal a challenge, the pitcher, catcher, or batter will tap his hat or helmet to let the umpire know - No help from the dugout or other players on the field is allowed - In each extra inning, a team will be awarded a challenge if it has none remaining entering the inning The ABS Challenge System powered by T-Mobile 5G network uses cameras set up around the perimeter of the field to track the location of each pitch and a graphic on the scoreboard shows the result of the challenge

I think every player should get one challenge per game and the pitcher should get 1 per inning, but its a start
