Yeah, I always thought they charge what the consumer can/ will pay. I guess they’re trying a different strategy now.

I don't think the issue is so much about how much money corporations make, it's how few taxes they pay on those profits. Wanna lower the debt? Demolish some of the ridiculous write-offs these companies get. You and I have a higher tax burden than most Fortune 500 companies do, and ours is going up while theirs is falling.

Dagnabbit.....I stocked my basement up with food, water, batteries etc based on banned Tim's prediction of an economic catastrophe due to the tariffs.  Now all that stuff is gonna expire.

Glad to see it, no matter who the president is. Sadly, it’s not all good news…

However, inflation remains higher than the Federal Reserve would like. The Fed’s favored inflation gauge — called the personal consumption expenditures index, or PCE — climbed to a 2.8% annual pace last quarter, up from 2.1% in the second quarter.

Excluding volatile food and energy prices, so-called core PCE inflation was 2.9%, up from 2.6% in the April-June quarter.

4th quarter numbers will be very telling. A lot of consumer confidence reports say people planned on spending 20-25% less this Christmas. What people say and what they do doesn’t always match. So we will have to wait and see…

Last year I went big. PlayStation, I phone. This year I made up for it with volume. May be spent a little less, but not much.

More lies.  Checked all my accounts this morning, pleasantly surprised at how much they have grown.  Didn't even need to go to Charles Schwab for them to tell me.
