#1-This saddends me deeply as a very proud New Orleanian and an American.

#2-our superintendent of police is one of the best we’ve had in years. She has reduced crime here almost overnight.

#3- Mayor Cantrell is a complete disgrace for our city. She was the one who said it was terorism, not the superintendent of police.

Some need to shut the Fawk up till you understand more. I’m heartbroken that this happened. We have Mardi Gras and the Super Bowl coming up next.

@realDonaldTrump

·1h

When I said that the criminals coming in are far worse than the criminals we have in our country, that statement was constantly refuted by Democrats and the Fake News Media, but it turned out to be true. The crime rate in our country is at a level that nobody has ever seen before. Our hearts are with all of the innocent victims and their loved ones, including the brave officers of the New Orleans Police Department. The Trump Administration will fully support the City of New Orleans as they investigate and recover from this act of pure evil!

Why is it less likely?

People here illegally tend to try not to leave paper trails.  I’d bet the guy was either here legally or visiting with a valid passport

Well looks like she was correct to call it a terrorist attack?

Do you think the vehicle was rented with intention of committing this act?  Or did it just pop into his mind after he picked up his washer/dryer combo from Home Depot?

Seems to be a bit of a disagreement on what exactly is a “terrorist attack.” Does it include lone wolf psychos or are we talking organized jihad stuff?

To me it makes sense to focus on the latter as the threat is potentially ongoing there vs isolated to the one attack with a lone wolf. But terror is the purpose for both so I can see why people would include those as well

Your boy Biden let 10 million illegals in in four year's time. Shocking that this is happening. :rolleyes:

Very good source tells me the truck may have come over the border but that authorities are pretty sure the driver was a US citizen. Well know more soon

You’re behind.  Owner isn’t the suspect, it was rented through Turo app

:doh: It's still terrorism whether it's a single person or an organization.

(d) the term “terrorism” means an activity that —

(i) involves a violent act or an act dangerous to human life, property, or infrastructure; and

(ii) appears to be intended —

(A) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population;

(B) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or

(C) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, kidnapping, or hostage-taking.

Obviously it was.  But someone here illegally needing to provide paperwork to rent a car increases the chances of being caught before being able to commit the crime.

Illegals can work here "legally" but can't in any way rent a car. 😆

I didn’t say it was impossible that an illegal rented it, just less likely.  And I was right.

No, you are just proving your inability to analyze human behavior with criminal intent.  Nothing about a fuking paper trail amounts to anything.  It’s a poor assessment.

You disagree that providing fraudulent paperwork would increase your chances of getting caught when you first need to drive 350 miles to commit your crime compared to say, “borrowing” a friend or family member’s car? You are welcome to your opinion if so, but it’d be wrong.

Are you advocating that no one with a Muslim sounding name should be allowed US citizenship?

The 42-year-old, who was identified by law enforcement sources, was shot and killed in a firefight with cops just moments after he plowed into crowds on the famed Bourbon Street just after 3 a.m. — leaving 10 dead and 35 injured.

He grew up in Texas and had been in the military for a decade, sources told The Post.

He had what appeared to be an "Islamic caliphate or ISIS" flag on his truck at the time of the attack, police sources told The Post.
