As Los Angeles battles its worst fires in history, the fire department’s highly paid diversity head is facing an inferno of backlash after a bizarre comment surfaced in which she appears to defend DEI hiring by blaming victims.

In a video defending the department’s DEI hiring practices, Deputy Chief Kristine Larson — who heads the Equity and Human Resources Bureau — addressed accusations that female firefighters aren’t strong enough to carry a man out of a burning building.

Yeah, it's only ok for the left to do that up until the election.  After the divisiveness served it's purpose, it shouldn't be done anymore.

Oh, I'm sure she was spoken to, but not the way she should have.  She was probably just told to not say that in public and probably told how to do damage control, but that's it.

I drove a wheelchair access van all over the Detroit area in 2023 waiting for my teaching license to come through. Consequently, I got to know dozens of disabled clients/friends and saw first hand how sometimes large men fall on the floor and their small wives/family can't get them back in their bed or chair and need to dial 911. When they do, you need muscle, Period. It's the local fire department that comes out to help.

Of course they did not say anything. The cult of DEI would mark you as out of step with their goals and fire you. I have had to bite my tongue so many times over the years when I hear a hiring manager tell me they want a DEI candidate instead of a white male who was exceptional at their job.
