Putting words in other people’s mouths alert!  Pretty sure he’s not saying for sure he didn’t beat her.  He’s saying charges didn’t happen, so for people to act like he definitely did abuse her is wrong.

IMO, the domestic violence looks like the most likely crime he actually committed other than being here illegally.  MAGA should probably stick to that instead of definitively calling him a gang banger (like @Strike), despite multiple judges being skeptical of the evidence he was MS-13.

I'd like to see a link for that quote...it may be accurate but the AP has never before labeled the protests as riots or rioting.

Ask yourself this:  Why do you think Lady Squidtard even brought up the "no charges" position?  Because he didn't believe the woman and wanted to make it seem like Garcia was this innocent angel, that's why.  I mean, why should it matter if there were charges or not if there is an ACTUAL PETITION from the wife?  IIRC, I believe there were actually TWO petitions, not just one.

To recap for those who are late to this discussion...

People were claiming that Garcia should be deported because he beat his wife or committed spousal abuse.

Fine, if it was proven he did that, then they would have a valid reason to deport him.

However, it hasn't been proven, all we have all allegations from a petition that did not result in any charges being brought against him.

I actually don't want him deported for that.  I want him deported because he is here illegally.  Nothing else needs to be shown for a deportation unless I'm missing something.  I personally think he's a piece of garbage who beats women.  I don't need a judge to give me permission to that belief and don't care if we charge/convict him of that since he can just be deported anyway.  The whole case of this guy is bizarro world to me because he's not a sympathetic figure in any regard.  My uncle used to beat the hell out of my aunt on the regular, he wasn't charged.  I still think he's a waste of oxygen.

Not true he still had to be given due process under the Constitution. 

And actually he had legal status at the time ICE grabbed him. In 2019, an immigration judge granted him the withholding of removal status due to the danger he faced from gang violence if he returned to El Salvador.

Edited to add: I have never said that I thought of him as a sympathetic figure. I said in his thread, that this was not about Garcia the person, it was the larger legal principles of the case that he represented.
