Grocery Store Hoagies

Recommended Posts

Haven't had any hoagies in ages but damn after some mayo, salt and Italian dressing that they don't give ya, that Italian hoagie was pretty darn tasty. Thoughts on grocery store hoagies ?

The way to go these days.

Cheaper than chains & convenience stores.

Bigger too.

Ditto on seasoning.

Now than I’m in Florida it’s my only option. The bottom tier local places in MA blows away anything down here. Chinese, pizza & seafood suck and no north shore beeferies. If Jersey Mikes is a C , Publix is a C-

Market Basket steak & cheeses were loved up there mainly because of their price

Florida is a great state for everything except weather and food. I like 4 seasons and good local food. I don't think Publix was all that  bad for sandwiches though. There was one next door to where I worked in St. Pete and went there all the time. And Jersey Mikes is better than a C as well. Just don't get any oil or other 'wet' toppings and take it home and put on your own mustard and mayo or oil or whatever.

Something about Jersey Mike's.  I'm pretty sure it's their proprietary sauce, just gives me Heinous Anus every time. 🤮🙁

I like Publix subs when made to order order at the Deli counter. Harris Teeter makes great subs. Do y'all have them in Florida?

We have a good amount of delis nearby.

the grocery store sandwiches here are not very good (though have decent descriptions).
