I actually believe you that you think you care about the US.

Unfortunately you side with the pedos and uniparty, so your caring ends up destroying the country. Maybe rethink what you support.

Gutter has fallen so far he's putting himself in the same group as a guy that literally lives in his own reality.

Yup. You care so much about it you want to bring in as many non Americans as possible, background check not necessary. Totally makes sense.

Yeah. I remember you going off about it everyday during Biden, like you do about Trump.  STFU.

My goodness is this guy killing it. On the same day that the Dems admitted they ran a guy they felt needed to be in a wheel chair.  The contrast couldn’t be more stark.

& no covid shots for them when at the same time they were firing & kicking people out of their jobs who were US citizens.

I wish I was making this up, but this is what the Dems did.

It’s the most dastardly thing our government has done to its people in my lifetime.  I’ll never forgive or forget.  Pure scum.

Trump is just running up the score at this point.

What a contrast.

I might suggest we wait on any victory dance.

1) Government always lies, ALWAYS, never ....ever,,,,,ever..... trust anything pronounced by government

2) When we see economists surprised that tariffs had to no impact is is demonstrative of their lack of credibility or ability......tariffs would NEVER show this fast if they had an impact......it can take months....and sometimes years....for tariffs to have ANY impacts.

3) ANY impact by tariffs would be easily offset by a number of other areas of the economy, there are many things that would negate any tariff-driven impacts, if housing goes up or down......we wont even see the impacts of tariffs one way or another.

ALL the talk about tariffs is just angry people hoping we lose.

You do realize.....the economists are now saying that tariffs are having no impact, right?  And you also further realize that in saying this, they demonstrate a total lack of comprehension about how tariffs and the economy actually work? Right?

No I don't know any Economist that is saying that tariffs are having no impact on the Economy and neither do you.

Further, Economists know more about how tariffs impact the Economy than you and Donald Trump.

What in the actual Fock are you talking about? What economist has said this? They’ve said the same thing all along: that the price hikes will hit this summer, in June or July, that it’s already too late to prevent it, that the drop in our ports currently happening (long Beach by 60%) is a calamity.

Now they could still be wrong. I seriously doubt it but hope they are. We’ll know by July.

Actually most of them are

But I might suggest that there will typically be two camps, who disagree.   Now as I have been stating all along, tariffs have a tiny footprint in terms of prices to the consumer and it can take months for it to manifest, so no big surprise really that they are not "seeing it"

In that article the guy from JP Morgan says prices will seriously ramp up in June or July. Not sure what you think you’re reading. Tiny footprint? Hardly.

They are not, and in a rare instance of honesty one actually states a truth.....

"A clear read on the inflation trend won’t be visible for several months yet,"

Which.....is what I have been asserting all along....and yet.....media seems surprised.....Wolf Blitzer himself noted that economists predicted a problem would be evident, which is over course just focking stupid to assert.

If by the end of July we don’t see price hikes and severe shortages on the items that normally reach us from China I will be quite happy (and very surprised.)

I haven’t heard ANY economist say it would be immediate. But the problem is evident already in the ports, just not yet for the consumer.
As for what you e been asserting, you say the effects will be tiny. I strongly doubt that. I think we’re in for a LOT of pain and it will be very noticeable. We’ll see who’s right between us; I sure hope it’s you.

Agree, while it would be wonderful to fix problems without pain the notion of doing so is rarely feasible.

But right now I find most of the machinations to be really solid in terms of strategy, so I hope for the best of course.

I ight also suggest that the timeline to see impacts is rather aggressive and it would be unusual to see any impact from tariffs that quickly, moreover, any change in actual meaningful inflationary influences would hide it.

And we fundamentally disagree that this fixes anything.

But they did.....and CNN only used them for their reporting, so now....one again....they look foolish because they only reported one side.

No, most of them aren't.  Your article is related to how inflation came in lower than expected.  Any economist will tell you that there is more to the economy than inflation.  Most economists have forecasted lower GDP growth based on the tariffs and that the inflation is coming.

The size of the tariff footprint is based on the size of the tariff.  You saw 145% tariff create an embargo.  Now that Trump caved and lowered it, we will now see goods from China rising in price.  We've seen auto prices rise already too.

What problem is Trump trying to fix with the tariffs? US manufacturing jobs, trade imbalance, something else?

Well, the argument "here" was that they would cause inflation.....and clearly the economists who predicted it were wrong, as outlined by those reporting it.   But the entire topic isbeing wayyyyy overblown for dramatic effect

In short the tariffs is part of a broader strategy of economic protections for  domestic industries that will result in job growth and with it improving just about everything in society. The long road of disintegrating domestic social status is linked directly to the shedding of jobs elsewhere.

Correcting Trade Imbalances which harm the access to good paying jobs for our people, reviving manufacturing which is a security issue, standing up to the corruption and cheating of China....which no longer needs to behave like that,

The forecast was 2.4% for April, we came in at 2.3%.  Core inflation was 2.8%.  We saw a lower price of oil due to the slowdown introduced by the tariffs.

Forecast for end of year is 3.5%

How do you square that with Trump’s campaign promise to lower costs? If you tariff foreign goods to make US manufacturing more appealing, obviously that’s going to raise costs. Especially if those jobs are unionized and better paying.
