I don't have high hopes for the Rays this season as I have in years past, especially in that AL East. a lot will hinge on starting pitching and how they manage playing in a spring training park. for fantasy purposes, most of my draft list stayed pretty much the same. decided to go heavy on starting pitching and pitching in general with my first 5 picks and 7 of 12 being pitchers. one thing I can say is the only player I missed out on who I thought I had a legitimate chance to grab in the draft was Kirby Yates. or at least thought I could nab one of Fairbanks/Yates. everything else felt pretty much as expected. definitely missed some players i'd like to have but I was assuming I would miss them based on the draft order and my rankings... (Randy, Morton, Paredes, Adam) i dont expect this to be a playoff team but with health, a strategic supplemental and decent amount of depth exclusives.... who knows Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

lambert58 71 Posted March 3 Good draft. i didn’t really miss out on anyon other than Flaherty and/or Wacha. I had plans of going OF and SP early but Flaherty popping at 1.04 changed that. I did nab 3 of my next 4 on my list with Ozuna, Arozarena, and Tyler O’Neil. I was torn between Arozarena and Adolis Garcia but went with the potential for Steals with Randy. Lack of OF production was part of my downfall last year. I should have that addressed. I have several multi positional players like Edman and Donovan that will help. supplemental order will be huge to determine if I can contend this year.
