Canadians are 'fed up,' says Alberta lawyer leading delegation to Washington for statehood talks

Jeffrey Rath, a Canadian lawyer, tells ‘Fox & Friends’ leaders like Prime Minister Trudeau have ‘lost their way’

A Canadian lawyer is leading efforts to explore the possibility of Alberta joining the United States, as President Donald Trump continues to push for closer ties with Canada’s energy-rich province.

"There’s literally hundreds of Albertans that are reaching out and volunteering to join our delegation," Jeffrey Rath said on "Fox & Friends" Thursday.

Rath and a small group of Albertans are planning to travel to Washington, D.C., to discuss potential pathways for Alberta, including independence with economic ties to the U.S., territorial status, or full statehood.

He believes the movement will gain traction as dissatisfaction with Canada’s federal leadership grows.

It’s a steering committee of people that are looking to come to Washington on an exploratory basis and meet with a representative appointed by President Trump," Rath explained.

"To explore the benefits of either Alberta becoming an independent sovereign nation with economic union to the United States, becoming a U.S. territory, or pursuing full statehood."

Not going to happen. 90% of Canadians are opposed to joining the US.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/canada-join-u-s-poll-1.7434317

Join the U.S.? No way, say most Canadians surveyed. But nearly a quarter may be open to it

'That survey found just a small minority, one out of 10 Canadians surveyed, would support the idea of Canada joining the U.S., but that the vast majority, 90 per cent, were opposed. '

This simply isn’t true.   My deep MAGA sources have confirmed once Alberta flips, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia will follow. Ultimately, Ontario and Quebec will be going it alone.

Just for funz - you should check how these provinces vote - the policies are in line with Dems. It’s Puerto Rico on steroids.

I for one welcome the opportunity to stay where I'm living and no longer be in the northernmost continental state. It would be awesome if that vast wilderness could be accessed without crossing an international border.

With that said, I might as well wish to be the next powerball winner. Roughly the same odds.

So you are just like those who lived in England and decided brave the oceans to start a new world in the US.

Awesome.

We’re taking the land, not the people.

Not all Canadiens are liberal simps. I lived there for more than a few years.

I'd be happy to welcome Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan but BC is a leftoid sh*thole and they can keep it.

France can take over Montreal and Quebec.

In 1995 Quebec held a referendum on sovereignty that was rejected 50.6% to 49.9%.  That would flip today easily today.

France hates Canadian Frenchtards. They consider them French imposters. So there are currently two French dopey geographical areas on this earth. One in Europe, and one in Canada.
