Hawkeye21 2,379 Posted Thursday at 03:19 PM Gas, eggs and overall grocery prices have dropped. I'm not sure where Trump is getting his drastic numbers from though. It hasn't been that significant, although, eggs dropped $5 since the beginning of March.

But grocery prices are not down or going down. Average March 2025 grocery prices were up about 0.49% from February 2025. That was the highest month-to-month grocery inflation rate since October 2022. The chart I just looked at showed just about everything dropping in price from March till now. It's not a very large drop but still a decrease.

Here is the data I viewed, shows food prices at home up .5%. https://www.bls.gov/news.release/cpi.nr0.htm

According to your "All Groceries" calc it was down .3% in March. But the "All groceries" doesn't include meat or dairy which were both up 1.4% I still say it's false to claim that grocery prices are down.

Hardcore troubadour 14,903 Posted Thursday at 09:45 PM 2.83. Not bad. Will do better. I’d say in the 2.50 range will be a great improvement. Book it.

There could be three stations in the United States with gas under $2... I know that isn't what he meant, but there just "might" be... Maybe?

Or are you just talking wholesale prices? So I did some digging. On January 2nd the price of a dozen eggs at wholesale was 5.81. In March of 2025 they reached an all time high price of 8.17. They are now at 3.16. That is the lowest the price has been since October.
