Colorado house committee votes in favor of transgender bill

"The CO House Committee has voted 7-4 to pass a radical transgender bill that makes "misgendering" a "discriminatory act," takes children away from parents who "deadname" or "misgender," and pushes gender ideology in all schools, including private and charter."

The board libs said this wouldn't happen. Of course anyone with common sense knows this was the eventual goal.

Wait. The liberals here all say that transgenders are only 0.00001% of the population. 

There's no chance that the people they voted into office are spending all their time creating bills, arguing for or against and voting on something that never really happens, right? They wouldn't waste a penny on this, right?

Slippery slopes are VERY real.

This seems like a no-brainer SCOTUS reversal if they ever make this law in Colorado.  However, they only voted it out of committee.  From what i understand it still has to pass in the CO legislature.

This is a complete non issue for board libs, while they claim it was also a non issue for Trump voters, yet here is a state pushing the transgender issue like we said would happen. If Kamala was elected, this would be happening all over.

They never stop to ask why the F children all of a sudden want to change their gender, especially when it's not even possible to change gender. They then also fail to ask why adults are pushing children to change their gender instead of encouraging them to accept their bodies as they are at least until they reach adulthood.

If a parent is willing to lie to their child, letting them believe gender transition is possible, while letting them go through the process, then there can't be anything that a parent would say no to. Its all on the table at that point.

This is clearly a violation of the First Amendment and will be dealt with as such by SCOTUS if it ever gets codified into Colorado law.

This is no different than calling someone a "racist" or "nazi" or "homophobe".  Are we going to codify those as well?  And all other terms anyone feels is derogatory to them?

Fiscal Note House Bill 25-1312 Initial

 

The fiscal note hass a pretty fair summary of the Bill and its contemplated Civil Penalties, $3500 for each violation.

 

I find it interesting that this is expected to require $14 million in funding this year and every year.  One wonders where that funding will come from, perhgaps schools,or roads, or wildfire suppression, who knows?
