Mercedes-Benz wants car back from Deion Sanders' son Shilo after alleged default

Recommended Posts

Colorado football safety Shilo Sanders hasn’t kept up on his payments for his 2023 Mercedes-Benz, leading the car company’s financial services arm to seek relief from the court where Sanders filed for bankruptcy in 2023 with more than $11 million in debt, according to court records filed Tuesday by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services.

The company said Sanders, son of Colorado coach Deion Sanders, was past due for $6,877 on his monthly payments from December through February. It also noted Sanders has an outstanding balance of $97,239 while the trade-in value for the car is less than that at $97,000.

As a result, the company wants the court’s permission to take possession of the car and for Sanders to provide the location of it.

Why Mercedes is making this move now

Sanders, an NFL draft prospect, filed for bankruptcy in October 2023, hoping to discharge more than $11 million in debt – almost all of it owed to one man, John Darjean, a security guard from his former school in Texas.

Something doesn’t add up with this story

He must of assaulted or hurt that security guard and bought his way out of the charges.

When Shilo was 15 a security guard tried to take away his cell phone and Shilo attacked him and was awarded the following (according the article if you read it):

Quote

The court’s judgment against Sanders included $3 million for Darjean’s future physical impairment and $2 million for future medical care.

I believe the guard sued the Shilo and his parents at first. Just read the article.

Assaulted him. The guy sued him and the info letter went to u South Carolina but he was at Jackson St. so it was an easy judgement. Shilo must have one of those douchey G wagons that is up for repo

still sounds like more to the story

Yep.  Basically, Shilo didn't show up for the court case so the court decreed a default judgment in favor of the security guard.  From what I've read, Sanders is one of those d0ucheb@gs who thinks he doesn't have to answer to anyone because daddy is Deon Sanders.

Now he's trying to get out of everything he owes BEFORE he signs any contract with the NFL so no one can garnish his wages or get a piece of that.  D0ucheb@g move.

Probably the same people who approved all those subprime mortgages leading up to the 2008-2009 debacle.

Only difference in this case, is that they couldn't hand it off to Fannie and Freddie.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
