Crazy guess. The saints give up their 10th overall this year and 5th rounder in 2027 to move up to 2 and take Dart. The jets the chargers and Giants all could take him before he gets to them. The saints need a qb with it looking like carr is out AND it he would bring a strong base of fans with him from his time with Mississippi that would likely travel and spend money to see him play..

I dont know about that.

Whoever takes him will need to give him a redshirt year from the sound of it.    lots of things to clean up in his play and throwing motion.

I do think the tools are there in the toolbox.   but you gotta fix these issues before throwing him out there.    I did like the observation that his deep ball accuracy isnt as good if he has to throw off his back foot or roll to his left.    I actually noticed the same feature in superbowl winning QB Hurts the first time he played the chiefs in the superbowl.   They forced him to roll to his left that whole game and the eagles lost that one.....    but that was not an issue the most recent superbowl because the presence of Barkley in the backfield prevented the chiefs from playing the same strategy(for the most part)

either way,  I feel the best course of action would be a redshirt year to clean up all that stuff.     Usually when that is the case, the QB doesnt go in the first half of round 1.   its later in round 1 or early round 2.    So I dont think they need to pay to move up and get him.   I could be wrong.   but thats my thought on that matter.

Betmgm and Fanduel both have him going #2  as +8000. DraftKings has this at +185. Something is reaaaaally off on that

I'd agree.  kid isnt a finished product.   

dont get me wrong.  I really like him.  but given where he is at with his development he should not be going in the top 10.    There is more risk there than you want to have in a high first round pick.

Yea. raiders. Sorry. Did not even catch that. The thought remains though. There is something really off in the odds for one of the betting sites that makes you feel like it is a toss up at #2 between dart and sanders

I still think QB Sanders is rated above Dart. Sanders could be there at 9 but likely gone which leaves Dart. I believe the Saints won't need to trade up to get Dart. If he's there at pick #9 the Saints take him. Likely to sit for awhile or at least until Carr underperformes or misses time. Saints need a QB now so they won't wait until next year.

I think Rattler's upside is way higher than Darts. I wouldn't be shocked if the Saints do nothing and tank for Manning

Thinking about Arch Manning it's not out of the realm for the Saints to lose a lot of games. Yet not so sure tanking will be tolerated by the NFL without some kind of repercussion. Don't know if there are any rules in place that prohibit tanking. If not there should be. So even if the Saints are hellbent on losing games to get a shot at Manning it could be done without too much suspicious activity. Don't know much about Rattler but if the Saints don't take a QB there's a good chance Rattler starts with Derek Carr's health and being able to Plat are in question. Papa Manning is probably hoping his Grandson gets drafted by the Saints.

If they suck they suck, it's not tanking. What can the NFL do? Play Rattler till the wheels fall off and get your QB next year which is supposed to be a deep QB group.

There are absolutely no repercussions for tanking. The browns did it for draft picks with hugh jackson and got away with it. They just squandered them because they are the browns. Even if they did fine you or take a draft pick away it would likely not be the first and If you can get a shot at Arch manning the cost would be well worth it.

Can't remember Peyton and Eli's brothers name but he's still a Manning.  Regardless of Arch's father.not having elite or even average ability for playing sports Arch is still an above average QB. Teams could be beating each other up to try and get him in next years draft. The kid will have a ton of pressure on him to try and live up to Peyton and Eli's legacy. Just hope that what ever team.selects him.foesn't squander his ability by not putting players around him.so he can be successful.
