This guy didn’t break the law, has no criminal record, the admin repeatedly admitted it illegally renditioned him a torture prison El Salvador ‘in error,’ then they were forced to bring him back, maliciously charged him to save face, and now trying to deport him to Uganda.

He broke the law by being in the country illegally, and he probably was a type of under the table uber driver for illegals

They thought he was a gang banger the whole time, they just didn’t realize they couldn’t send him to El Salvador.

Of course, by making the trade with Venezuela, they essentially acknowledged that multiple of the people that got sent to CECOT weren’t actually gang members.

Some of us have pointed out since the start of Trump’s second term that innocent people were going to get caught up in this deportation crap and that appears to be what has happened here. We need to stop this whole mess before it does serious harm to us as a nation. It’s OK to deport convicted violent criminals who are undocumented: DO NOT DEPORT ANYONE ELSE. Full stop.

The only reason someone should be deported is if they are an undocumented convicted violent felon. All other deportations should be extremely unusual no matter what one’s legal status, until Congress has full immigration reform that would include a path to citizenship for the vast majority of undocumented people in this country and a much fairer and open immigration program to this country. Once that happens we can have a discussion about deportation. Until then it needs to come to a halt.
