Trump wants to deport American Citizens to El Salvador

Huh?  He is an El Salvadorean citizen, NOT a US Citizen.

Cool story, but again, we’re paying for his residency there, so they should willingly send him back if we ask, which I’m pretty sure we haven’t.

The Executive Branch is responsible for enforcing the laws passed by the Legislative Branch (Congress). The President, as head of the Executive Branch, has the power to sign or veto bills, and can also issue Executive Orders that carry the force of law.

Yeah so, he has tatoos that say MS-13,  but that doesn’t mean he’s actually in MS-13. And besides, they could be for the other MS—13, the good one that passes out Turkeys at thanksgiving and coaches soccer. Bring him home!

Maga in full meltdown mode.  Fake stories of human trafficking, fake tat photos, dragging out the family of years old crimes and parading them around but they still don't get it.

It's very simple.  Follow the law.  The government cannot grab people off the streets without due process and send them to foreign prisons.  We are a country of laws and we respect human rights.

If Garcia is a terrorist or gang member or whatever, bring him back to the US, charge him with whatever, give him due process and either put him in jail or deport him.  Follow the law.  Follow the Constitution.

Just saw that story, read there were 2 dissents and didn't have to read one more word to know which two. They don't even pretend anymore to follow the laws or constitution.

Tariffs aren't your choice either, , but you still spend half your life whining about them.  So again, no thanks the MS-13 thug can stay where he is.  You can travel there to visit him if you choose.

The hills maga will die on.  Break the law, shred the Constitution, defy the courts, throw away human rights, as long as it results in one less brown person in the country.

Doesn’t matter. He needs to come back.

No he doesn't.  Let me repeat: He is a citizen of a sovereign nation -> El Salvador.  Are you suggesting that the US abduct a citizen of another sovereign nation?  Like N.Korea does with Japanese people?

Let me repeat:  He is NOT a US Citizen.  He was in this country illegally, is a member of MS13 and beat his wife and now he is back in his home country.  El Salvador will not allow one of it's own citizens to be abducted willingly to support some virtue signaling.  He is where he belongs: his home and in jail.

Once again, you're on the wrong side history.  It's a thing with you Democrats.  In 10 years you'll claim you were Republicans back in 2025 to try and cover your @ss.

Are we?  Are we really?  Sure, okay.

In any event, he is a citizen of El Salvador, not the US.  He is back home where he belongs.  Not a good look for you to be supporting illegal aliens who are gang members and beat their wife and then advocating TO BRING THEM BACK TO THE US!

Like I told Tim, you guys are on the wrong side of history once again.  Just like you were with slavery, Jim Crowe and the KKK.  This has backfired spectacularly on the Democrats.

😦

The Trump administration just argued before the Supreme Court that they have the right to arrest ANY person, US citizen or not, for ANY reason, and send them to a foreign prison ANYWHERE, without due process, and America’s courts have no jurisdiction to stop them.

Let that sink in.

Wow.  I haven't seen you guys and the left this mad since we took your slaves away.

Always on the wrong side of history with you guys.  You'll claim in a few years that you were "Republicans back then" to try and revise history, but it won't work, like usual,  People are on to your game.

We should start a thread tracking Squidtard's lies.  I might do that.  He just grabs anything he seas on Twitter and posts it as if it's fact.  This is how he tanked the other board and got it shut down.

I’m very glad the brave people at ICE and DHS are rounding up these known gang members,  but an awful lot of Chinese men illegally crossed our border during Biden. They need to be rounded up and shipped back as well. Also Muslims.

This is what I want: in keeping with the law, President Trump should do everything in his power, within reason,  to bring this guy back to get the court hearing that he was due. This means publicly asking El Salvador to release and return him. Further it means threatening to cut off money to El Salvador if they refuse. If El Salvador still refuses after that, then it’s over; we did everything we could.

Are you good with this?

Every person that is rounded up should get due process and a court hearing before being deported, as the law demands. Do you agree with this?

Ok. And they can wait it out for a few years in a detention center waiting for it. You ok with that?

Not without a court hearing to establish that they’re actually here illegally. After that yes so long as it’s in this country and they receive humane treatment.

I an sure he doesn't. He seems to fall in with JD Vance who thinks due process is dependent on the situation and the person accused.

https://twitter.com/JDVance/status/1912320489261027374

To say the administration must observe "due process" is to beg the question: what process is due is a function of our resources, the public interest, the status of the accused, the proposed punishment, and so many other factors. To put it in concrete terms, imposing the death penalty on an American citizen requires more legal process than deporting an illegal alien to their country of origin.

You think being confined to a detention center for years is humane. I disagree. I think the people at DHS are more than capable of determine the immigration status of individuals.   It’s not complicated. If they came here legally there would be a record of them doing so. Do you understand that?

No I don’t. If the state arrests or detains a person by force against their will it must show cause before a court of law to justify doing so. There are NO EXCEPTIONS. Thats our system, and its a good system, and I don’t wish to get rid of it, not for expedience, not because the people at DHS are “capable”, not for any reason.

ETA this isn’t liberalism, it’s conservatism. It’s actually a CORE principle of conservatism going back to Burke. I’m amazed that modern day so-called conservatives seem willing to give it up.

Unfortunately, that still is a possiblity and the unlawful deporatations may continue despite the termporary SCOTUS ruling stopping them.

I am not.  He's a criminal, a wife beater and a gang member and a citizen of a sovereign nation.  We have no rights to him and he has no rights here.  End of story.  El Salvador has no obligation to turn over their citizens to other nations.

And MAGAs keep cheering on what has become a dictatorship as the Constitution lies in tatters.

They believe this mistakenly deporting man is a gang member because someone with no evidence as such indicating that he is.

They belive lies piled on lies piled on lies, throwing facts and common sense right out the window.

But come midterms, they will reap what they sow.

Actually, there is evidence.  They've shown it.  In fact, TWO judges found him to be a gang member.  And our courts hold no authority over El Salvador.

So, yeah, you can revise history as much as you want, but that's all it is: revisionist history.

Still waiting on the two courts that viewed him as a gang member.
