I fully acknowledge the reality. I’ve been born raised & lived in one of the most dangerous cities in America. I know crime victims & people affected by crime & I’ve known prosecutors, cops & investigators, people I love & respect. As a matter of fact IMO this whole debate undercuts the crime issue. Trump has cut back on units dedicated to transnational crime, international crime orgs, gun running & political corruption, not to mention funding of police.

As for me not commenting on hateful rhetoric directed at a person who goes out of their way to become a target of comment, well, it simply would be exhausting.  From time to time I do such, but frankly ignoring the ignorance seems to me to be the best response.  Folks that make comments like that are looking for a rise.  If they get it that  is their reward.  I choose to not give them that reward, generally, though not universally.

 

My older brother use to say that when you invite abuse it is rude not to accept it.  I mention it as it applies in the instant matter.

Well the 14th amendment has lead to unanticipated consequences.  Trump may be right that it should be changed, but by amending the Constitution, never by ignoring it.  In that Trump is wrong and dangerously so in my estimation.  I trace all of this back to Row v. Wade.  Ever since that decision folks have hoped that activist judges and justices will legislate rather than rule.  It has us to a dangerous point were we now look to the Courts to do the jobs of legislators, and more importantly, the people themselves.

I dont really care about the victims. I just want to make sure the illegals get treated excellent. Make sure they get due process. And then some more due process. And then like some more appeals and stuff. Because the real crime here would be if they didnt have every opportunity to stay here in the US because obviously they were just looking for a better life.

This is the problem. People do not want to negotiate or result to reason. The reason is the influence of money and media, and these days MSM is not the problem. Either we support the Constitution and democracy or we don't. I do. My guess is somewhere along the line you swore an oath to uphold the law and Constitution, am I right?
