Strike 5,297 Posted Tuesday at 12:59 PM Shoot. Been meaning to reply to this thread. Sorry to hear man. I lost 10% of mine in 2017 due to Diverticulitis. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. @Engorgeous George When I had one a few years ago, based on the results they made a recommendation for how long it should be until my next one. But yeah at 6 years ago and your age might be time to at least talk to your PCP about it.

Yeah, one of my brothers had a section of his colon removed and he gets polyps so maybe it runs in the family and I should get it checked, again. The first time was not as unpleasant as it is often made out to be. Drinking all the stuff and shitting half the night was not as bad as i thought and they put me in twilight sleep for the procedure so I did not feel all that violated, probably less than a coed getting roofied at a frat party. I got my first colonoscopy two years ago. I was mortified for a couple years about getting one. After I went through it, I was like, "why the fock haven't they been saying it's no big deal"? It's a pain logistically, but literally that's it. Takes up an evening and part of the next morning, but the benefits are amazing and you don't even know you had one other than that. I had 3 polyps removed but no cancer. Just amazing how poor the communication is about that procedure.

A good pcp goes over all your to do lists at at least your annual check up. Mine is on me even about getting my eyes checked, & I have no problems with them other than using readers for small print. The pcp is the one who should prod you & send referrals for you for these recommended exams we all should be doing. Many people have no clue on what preventive exams are out there or that even they are out there.

Voltaire 5,236 Posted Wednesday at 12:56 AM This is all pretty timely, you seem to have jumpstarted a national discussion about what's up guys asses. Hopefully you have better doctors that Joe Biden who -as the story goes- were too incompetent to diagnose him with prostate cancer until it became super aggressive. Gleason nine, stage four. Glad you're able to get down liquids.
