The tariff policy isn't in place to raise prices. If tariffs are still in place next with zero progress while prices are going up, then something will need to give.

If you watch the moves being made, Trump and his team are moving quickly. Partly because he has been working on these deals for a while.

At the very least they are breaking the illusion that everything in governmemt takes forever and there just isnt anything we can do about it.

Well, no that is not the intent, but that will be the end result as tariffs are passed on to the consumer, not eaten by the exporting country or the importing company.
