BiffTannen 916 Posted yesterday at 03:20 AM It’s hard not to like Fumble’s team. - Scottie - Corey Conners- I went back and forth between him and Lowry. I went Lowry bc of his play at Oakmont in 2016. Possible steal of the draft here - Ben Griffin - hottest player not named Stiffler and hard to go against it My complaint about him here would be driving accuracy - Denny McCarrhy - he was on my list and it came down to him or Berger Love his short game and his performances in similar conditions - he will miss the cut or top 15 - Justin Rose - was not on my list bc of stats He’s also been on this stage 1000 times and can come out of nowhere to contend solid 5th rd pick - Andrew Novak - I’m not hip to this dude yet good luck, Fumble
BiffTannen 916 Posted yesterday at 03:42 AM Over the next couple days I will give my breakdown of everyone’s team. I will definitely take a dump on some picks, but it’s just me having some fun and not meaning to offend.
BiffTannen 916 Posted yesterday at 04:00 AM bostonlager breakdown: I will be the first to admit, I try to get too cute with my drafts. The US Open brings that out in plain view. I took my guys based on driving accuracy. I hope it’s genius but if trends from this season continue, I will finish last. - Sepp Straka - this was my number one. I was hoping Jerry didn’t get him. He hits fairways and 3rd on tour SGA. (More to come later on why Jerry and I hate each other) - Shane Lowry - 2016 performance and this is his ideal venue. No trees- just a piece of land you maneuver around if I finish last this week, I will take him #1 next month -Berger - accurate driver of the ball. He is still coming back, but I’ve always thought of him as a major winner could miss the cut and I won’t be surprised Aaron Rai- thought about him in Rd 2 Best fairway finder on tour and has shown some teeth in big events Nick Taylor - finds fairways and has won before Fat faced Fock - finds fairways and a tribute to ed
BiffTannen 916 Posted yesterday at 04:21 AM Alias Detective breakdown: (disclaimer: I always hope AD’s team sucks because we have a side bet) Bryson - I could make an arguement he should have went 1st. Can he bomb and gouge like he did at Winged Foot? I don’t see why not Keegan - Wasn’t on my list, but I don’t hate the pick. One of those no middle ground guys. Missed cut or making a move on the weekend. Sam Burns - I’ve been playing EdEx for 6 years now and I’ve never once drafted this sonofabitch. He seems like a good dude and I would be glad to root for him. - Pendrith - I like this pick SGA/SGOT are top notch. If he finds his putter he is easily in contention - Tony Finau - I don’t see it i like Tony and will eat crow gladly if he makes the cut JJ Spain - This midget doesn’t have the length to play here. I bet he shoots 80 on the first round.
BiffTannen 916 Posted yesterday at 04:38 AM WhiteWonder breakdown: - Get Rahmmed - I had a delusional thought he might slip to me. Great pick here. - Hideki - No thanks. I need fairways this week. 139th on tour total driving. Missed cut - Harris English. - more delusions he might slip to me. Good accuracy off the tee and I will predict a major winner soon. - Si Woo Flair - I had him on my list but opted on different directions, but will not be surprised if he contends . Top 30 in driving accuracy and poised to win - Fatty Reed - a minority opinion, but I’ve always like Reed. The problem is, I don’t know how he’s playing these days could be a bust or a steal here - Min Woo - takent is there, but seems like he has hit a slump I was surprised you didn’t take Glover here he was on my radar
BiffTannen 916 Posted yesterday at 04:52 AM Clocaine/ChatGPT who knows who really picked this team. Either way I’ve always pooped on Clocaine’s teams over the years even as he won events Where some of us try to over think it, he takes the best guy on the board - Xander - I’m surprised you didn’t take Morikawa here. Xander won 2 majors last year and could strike again, but I haven’t seen that from him this year. Missed cut - Niemann - i know they say this is the number one LIV guy, I just don’t have time to follow that tour. I don’t know how good he is outside the majors and he doesn’t seem like guy that will post a score I can use. Brooks - boom or bust. 80% chance bust. Fitzpatrick. - solid 4th round pick. He’s shown some promise this year and has won the event on an easier track, but he knows what it takes -Ashteay - this guy will sneak up and win a major sooner than later he was on my list - Davis Thompson - he was decent when they were out west I haven’t seen much lately missed cut
Fumbleweed 534 Posted 16 hours ago I generally love the PGA Championship and US Open pretty evenly, but must admit the difficulty of this course has me pretty excited to see who can best handle it. Can't wait for it to kick off tomorrow morning.

Probably overthinking it Hideki was a pick sort of based on US Open history... 10 made cuts in 11 tries with 4 top 10 finishes. So obviously going to miss the cut this week Min Woo for a 6th rounder is 3 for 3 in US Open cuts with a 5th place finish. He has the distance off the tee with iffy accuracy that puts him right around Windy Clark, Ludvig, Cam Young... and even Rory (more accurate). Admittedly, he ranks lower than those guys in SG:OTT but he beats out most of them in accuracy and distance so He also has a good short game. His issue is approach, but these are huge greens this week which I think mitigates SG:A just a little. a glimpse into how my craptastic picks come to fruition. BiffTannen 916 Posted 8 hours ago Got a few brews down so time to finish the breakdowns. dain breakdown. Dain you seem like a pretty good dude, but you and I go at this game completely different. You never take my guys and I’m assuming I never take yours. Rory - he is Rory and can win any event he tees it up. There seems to be a motivation loss after the grand slam. JT - I will never draft him again. Too much variance for me. He can miss the cut by a mile or backdoor a top 20. I don’t think he contends this week. Jordan - nice 3rd rd value. I stayed away bc he burned me at the PGA, but he had a strong showing at the Memorial and always plays solid in the US Open. Maverick - solid in SGOT, SGA, and SGP. Good value and a sneaky sleeper. Ryan Fox - I thought about him because he is on fire, but driving accuracy steered me in another direction. Thornjob- I don’t know who this dude is
BiffTannen 916 Posted 7 hours ago Patweiser breakdown: Pat, I like half your team and hate the other half. Morikawa- I had delusional thoughts he might slip to me. I love Collin this week with his driving accuracy and iron play. Ludvig - prettiest swing since Fred Couples. He’s been shaky of late but only a matter of time. He is going to go on a run soon. Hatton - I will target him with no regret in the other 3 majors but not here. His emotions plus Oakmont equal disaster. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him in handcuffs this week. Cameron Young - ride the hot hand. I had him on my list but wasn’t fast enough. He knows how to contend in majors. Cam Smiff - I don’t think he is motivated anymore. He’d rather have a fishing rod in his hands. Wyndham - one hit wonder that has disappeared. Good value here though as he knows how to win.
BiffTannen 916 Posted 7 hours ago Jerry breakdown jerry, you son of a gun. You ruined what could have been a perfect draft by me. Tommy - I like him this week and I’m glad you took him. Had you taken Straka I would have likely paired him with Lowry. Cantplay - same as Justin Thomas. He’s burned me too many times and I will never draft again. Most punchable face on tour. Henley - I hope in your real life golf game you get a bad case of the shanks. I wanted him so bad to pair with Aaron Rai. Viktor - I like him, but I don’t trust him. Great value in the 4th, but too much variance for me. Macintyre - he was my go to had you taken Nick Taylor. JaDay - love him, and while he has the ability to sneak up a leaderboard at any given event, I just don’t see it this week
BiffTannen 916 Posted 7 hours ago If I had to pick a winner this week it would be Fumble. Corey Conners is going to be a good 2nd fiddle to Scottie.

JaDay - love him, and while he has the ability to sneak up a leaderboard at any given event, I just don’t see it this week Thanks. My responses/reasonings: in general, given the killer setup of the course, I put a lot of premium on past US Open success and overall tour experience, as well as total driving. Fleetwood: 7 of 9 made cuts, best finish 2nd. Consistent, good to great in all summary stats. Straka is not good around the green (133rd) and has MC in a few majors this year, plus 2 of 4 made cuts in this tourney, best finish T-28. But I do really like him this week; I just didn't know you liked him. Lowry probably would have been my second pick and I know you like him, so I maybe should have taken him first (not knowing you'd take Fleetwood). 8 of 12 cuts, 2016 success. But only 103 in putting. Cantplay: I haven't been burned like you, and he is 9 of 9 made cuts with a top-15 in I think the past 4 or 5 in a row. Game is made for this tourney. Weakness is around the green (89th) The other 4 I didn't analyze as much, but Hovland helped me win the PGA two years ago and he's been kinda hot recently. Bobby Mac was best value IMO, and Day is 8 of 12 made cuts with two T-2s. I also like Fumble's team. If I don't win, I hope he does. Or anyone but you.
