Nor does it mean that every white person will succeed. All it means is that it isn’t an even playing field. Liberals as a general rule seek government intervention to try and make it a little more equal. But conservatives fight us on every attempt. 

That might've been true at one point. It isn't any longer. We all have the same opportunities to succeed in life. Its up to the individual to take advantage of those opportunities and strive to succeed. 

Some do. Some blame history because its easier than taking responsibility for their own lives and outcomes. 

Thats where the Dem party comes in to convince them that they are not to blame for their own shortcomings or lack of effort. Its racism that's to blame. And you fan the flames.

Having a proven track record of success is the best way to get yourself in front of a HM. Regardless of who you are, where you're from or what color you are. 

And yes, politics come into play from time to time and, as a white male, I've come out on the wrong side of that equation before.

Should I have sued those companies for racism? 

Missed opportunity on my part, I guess. Because what I did was take my talents to a better company and worked hard for that company and worked my way up within that company. 

You know why? Because I had the skills, work ethic and drive to make it happen. I didn't blame racist programs like affirmative action. I took my talents elsewhere, where they were rewarded on their merits.

In my profession (before I retired), 95% of the salespeople came up organically through the engineering ranks.  The other 5% came from closely adjacent industries.  We all knew each other, and knew who was good.  I don't think we ever hired a person from outside the industry based on a resume.

It didn't matter if you were white, black, yellow, or purple.  But the nature of the electrical engineering ranks, certainly decades ago, was mostly white and Asian, with a few Indians and Arabs mixed in.  All of those were amply represented in our sales positions.
