US inflation accelerated in June as Trump’s tariffs start to bite...

You should be more perturbed that Trump doesn’t understand it. He promised lower “prices” Day 1. HTH

Wait, wasnt that a lie? I mean, dont you all say he lies?  Or did you actually believe that was possible....even though I assured you it isnt? I mean, if you are now walking around taking Trump's words as gospel, that is news to me

You really dont understand anything about economics at all....do you.....holy fock....  I honesntly did not realize you really were just stupid😆

I agreed with you.  Prices aren’t down.  Let me know when someone can pay their rent with a %.  Hence, if the previous economy was the worst of their lifetime’s, then it still is.

Well it took 2 months for the tariffs to manifest into prices...so technically I guess 2 months is plural...

Sure, three months was my estimate, but given that it is far more likely the minor uptick was due to labor.....it really doesnt matter one way or another.  Pretending its tariffs is just something you tell yourself so you can hate.....so I see no point in that.  That today, you see this right of the decimal uptick as meangful when you did not care when Biden was driving it to astronomin levels just highlights your hypocrisy really.

First off tarrifs are not a minor impact on inflation. That’s just silly. They create inflation.
I was concerned about inflation during the Biden era but believed then, and do now, that it was the price that had to be paid for getting us out of the economic crisis caused by Covid. I don’t see how tariffs are necessary and I don’t find any positive result from them. Inflation is only one negative aspect of tariffs; there are many more.

Tariffs are a minor impact to inflation, they are more market centric, whereas feal impacts across the spectrum come from say labor...which has been increasing.

I do not recall you being concerned during the Biden era, certainly not as much as you appear to be today, in fact I recall you defending him.

So if we see a right of the decimal rise in june and then an equal decrease in july.....are you going to have some other story, or at that point will you accept the normal ebb and flow of iinflation in the below "3s" as we always see as just part of the flow?

To be clear, some costs have come down.   Energy costs and other important areas have come down as hoped, and are a welcome reprieve to people who recently suffered through the work economy of their lifetime.  TO wring the rest out, as I have repeatedly stated, can take years....and if another democrat were to gain the presidency and fock it up again, well, maybe longer yet.

Oh before you do the cowardly pretense of the source being invalid in what ever way your mind cooks up....I dont care....  so before you bother, go fock yourself first😁

To be fair, it could be as few as three years, that was true after the late 1970's inflation, though prices never returned to pre-Carter levels, they did at least get back down close in 1983.  SO then perhaps in as few as 3 years, but I suspect it will be 10

That someone of your meager intellect when it comes to economics does not understand this is reasonable.  That Democrats in power do not get it, is not.

Someone who thinks overall prices will be lower in 3-10 years should not be questioning anyone else’s intellect, cuz.

Your link says prices were down for 1/3 of the items tracked in the consumer price index.  That means prices for 2/3 of the items aren’t, and links to a different article confirming the 2.7% overall increase.

Thanks for confirming prices aren’t down.

My state might not have a liberal governor if the Republicans didn’t run a self-described “black nazi”

That's fine. I'll take having the white house and the majority.

You can complain about not being able to afford to buy a couple eggs or some gas for your car.

I never said I didn't care.

I just said it wasn't solely Biden. It was policies of Trump 45, COVID, supply chain issues, and Biden stuff. You said it was just Biden.

Again- I was being intellectually honest. You were pointing at one person to fulfill your biases

You are a whiny political common man about everything. I care about good people that work for a living. My girlfriend is a democrat who is not all wound up about screaming about Trump. And I don't bring up politics to her because she has little interest. She's living a happy life not complaining about prices or anything. Just like I don't. I have my own charities that I have in my budget for a lot of years now that I give to. Things are not that bad right now. Not in the least.

And you know for a fact that there are people out there who commit themselves to not living quality hard working lives.

But it wasnt trump, it was Biden.   In fact, Biden could have blamed Trump for the inflation, that is usually what politicians do, but he didnt do that.....he lied and said it wasnt real.

Inflation went down between 1980-83, not overall proves.

Inflation during Biden was a major reason I didn’t vote for him or Harris.  But it’s ridiculous to say 1) the economy during Biden was the worst of the lower classes lifetime (for anyone born after 2008), and 2)  it’s all of the sudden not the worst economy of the lower classes lifetime 6 months later, since prices are still going up

Trump's $3.5T in COVID spending had nothing to do with inflation

What a clown.

I looked up the guy- he is buddy/buddy with Nick Fuentes. Also, the first few minutes of his video featured all the traditional MAGA mook verbiage and talking points.

His credibility is non-existent. So of course people would use him as their point person

Seemed like most of his argument was “see! The price increases from tariffs haven’t happened!”  But haven’t most of the tariffs either been scaled back significantly or not in place yet?

Don't let facts get in the way of a YouTube influencer's argument. RLLD needs to know what to think and a guy who makes his name into a GI Joe logo knockoff is a slight step up from the guy co-hosting with a skeleton in the background of his basement.
