I will edit to say in short Kincaid would be a fine backup.  I have no clue where guys are going off hand.   Just seems like some people are waiting on him. It definitely is a make or break year for him.  As of now highly doubt they do the 5th year option.

off hand

Bowers
-----------------------
McBride
Kittle
-----------------------
LaPorta
Hockenson
------------------------
Kelce
Andrews (usually is closer to Kelce than the next group but sometimes falls with them)
Loveland (sometimes)
------------------------
Engram                  <
Njoku                      < in my opinion this is where you want to live after the top 3 are off the board
Kraft                       <
-------------------------
Warren
Ferguson
Goedert
Pitts
Kincaid
Jonnu
Henry

I don't have any disagreements really with much of what you just posted, other than to say Josh Palmer and Elijah Moore are depth retreads at best. Also Keon Coleman is someone I have not been high on since he was drafted. I guess i'd also mention that Knox did next to nothing last year in 16 games despite whatever he is being paid.

Take my word for it. No one is drafting Kincaid as a top 10 fantasy TE right now. There is an area where Andrews, Engram, Njoku and Kraft go in no particular order (usually andrews first though) and while FantasyPros has Kincaid ranked 12th, lots of people are taking Loveland and Warren ahead of him. In the July Mock that is just wrapping up right now, Njoku is my TE1 and I was looking to grab Kincaid as my 2. Goedert shares the same bye as Njoku and Pitts popped before Kincaid. I settled on Ertz so I went with a higher floor but almost zero upside.

Right on depth retreads.  But Moore did have 61 catches with the lowly Browns last year and isnt 26 yet.  No one is dominating targets there.  But to my point they keep adding WR3s which goes hand in.hand with their philosophy of "everybody eats".   Their phrase not mine.  They are comfortable having Allen, a good OL and waves of decent offensive players.  Hell its true in the RB room to a degree. Cook had 17 TDs last year and didnt play 50% of snaps.  Many times taken out on 3rd.

Learning that Kincaid isnt really being drafted as a top 12 TE and starter then I guess I have little point.

I was just pointing out his knee still isnt right and might just be one of these players that is never really that healthy.  I do know/hear of some people still waiting on Kincaid to break out basically just because he was a 1st round pick and entering year 3.  In that offense I just dont see it.  He may have been the oldest TE in his class to boot.   If hes comfortably outside the top 10 in most peoples rankings then that makes sense and maybe didnt realize it.

It is a bit similar to the Packers pass catchers.  Have some solid talent overall.  They did draft Golden in the 1st.  But they love to spread it around and run the ball.  So Kraft's upside may be stunted as well.  I just think hes a better healthier player than Kincaid.   Allen is certainly plenty good enough, but Id guess Love has more yards and possibly more pass TDs.  Not to mention Bills will be playing a ton from in the lead.   Reasons why I would take Kraft over Kincaid.

We saw Laporta and Bowers do it in rookie seasons.  But is it a trend or an outlier?  Loveland has 3 WRs and Caleb Williams to contend with.

I dont understand the Warren hype and I may be dead wrong but dont see it.  Not to mention he plays for the Colts.  I guess at least hes going to play a lot of snaps which could mean auto catches.

I love the draft and follow prospects quite a bit.   I was sort of shocked with how Warren and Loveland were rated.   Are people chasing a Bowers?   Warren was absolutely force fed last season.

Could be people chasing Bowers but Warren is also not being drafted as a starting TE. I think people understand his situation on the Colts (not to say Bowers situation was any better).
Loveland is the guy being drafted as a TE1. I can only assume this is because of Ben Johnson and the idea that Caleb will take a step forward. Plus no WR there has proven anything outside DJ as far as I’m concerned.

We already knew he was no longer a stud RB, if that's what you mean by this.  Or did something come out where he got hurt again?

Agreed, everyone knew he’s not the player he once was, but three articles that have seen, saying the same thing about Chubb, looks like he has no game at all, no burst at all.  Moves Woody Marks up on my list.

Quote

Via Daniel Popper of TheAthletic.com, left tackle Rashawn Slater was carted off the field after going down midway through Thursday’s practice.

The injury is apparently to Slater’s left leg, as a player appeared to fall on it during an 11-on-11 drill. Slater was visibly upset after suffering the injury, throwing his helmet and slamming his hand on the cart as he was being helped off the field. Teammates came over to support the left tackle as he exited practice.

When Slater reached the team facility entrance, he was unable to put any weight on his left leg.

That’s a big issue, if he misses a lot of time, that’s going to effect their entire offense

Chargers left tackle Rashawn Slater was visibly upset while being carted off the field at practice on Thursday and the injury that knocked him out is as bad as Slater seemed to think it was at the time.

Shortly after multiple reports emerged that Slater tore his patellar tendon and would have further testing, the Chargers confirmed that Slater tore the tendon.

The team announced that Slater will have surgery and miss the entire 2025 season.

He might just be the best offense player the Chargers have, that’s going to hurt all the other skill position players.

Quote

Titans running back Tyjae Spears suffered an apparent high ankle sprain during Saturday night’s postseason game.

Spears was carted off the field and a high ankle sprain was the initial diagnosis, according to Turron Davenport of ESPN. Titans coach Brian Callahan said after the game that it’s too soon to say how much time Spears will miss.

“Further evaluation. We’ll see. Looks like it’s probably an ankle, we’ll see what the severity is as we evaluate it a little further,” Callahan said.

Yeah, it looked like it was going to be season ending. Now he's eyeing week 1

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan doesn't expect Brandon Aiyuk to return from ACL injury until October at the earliest

Miami Dolphins running back Alexander Mattison's promising preseason and 2025 NFL season were cut short on Sunday. The veteran running back, who was spending his first season with the Dolphins, suffered a neck injury in Miami's first preseason matchup against the Chicago Bears, which will sideline him for the entirety of the 2025 season. Per ESPN: Jordan Love to have procedure done on thumb after hitting it on a helmet during their preseason opener.

This is bad for any packers fantasy prospects. The starters looked absolutely terrible when they were on the field. Love being out for the preseason is just going to take the offense longer to get into their rhythm come the regular season.

Packers don’t see, to concern about him missing a bunch of time, even saying Love is expected back at practice next week.

He’s a streamer, not much of a concern.

I've done a complete 180 on Nabers. Was hyped a few months back, but at this point... way too many worries to invest my most valuable draft capital.

As they say "ya don't win the league with early picks, but you can sure as hell can lose."

At this point, seeing Nabers taken in the bottom half of round one seems a bit high but there is certainly value to be had if he drops.  The tricky part is figuring out exactly when to pull the trigger on him.  The toe stuff goes back to college and it didn't seem to affect him much last year - it all may just be the Giants being overly cautious and creating an excuse for reducing exposure to another potential concussion.  It may also be a ploy like Tom Brady's elbow issue he had for 15 years.

I keep reading that. Might be true, but on top of everything... even if he is healthy - Russ Wilson.  Mr. throw-it-deep but can't hit the middle of the field.

It's all just too much. I only got one #1 pick and I'm rather stingy about it.
