Sorry, ive been busy this week. There has never been a Palestinian state.  Why is one needed to remove terrorism? They were given freedom to self rule in the past, and consistently elect terrorists.

Israel has a top global entrepreneurial culture.  Combined with a blank check from western apologist nations, if they embraced Israel and it's ways, they would have a thriving economy in no time. Then they will have shown that they are ready to self govern. 

My money is not on this outcome, though. I provide as evidence the past 80 years of reality. Hopefully I'm wrong, though.

sources told CNN that the plan to build the Qatari facility has been in the works for several years, dating back to the previous administration.

A US official said the agreement with Qatar is routine and something the Air Force has done for decades with other partner nations including Germany and Singapore.

Because Turkey ruled them for centuries with an iron fist and no mercy. After Turkey was defeated in World War I, Palestinians have sought their own state. Great Britain first and Israel second, being western democracies, refused to rule with an iron fist (because we in the west don’t do that.) 

So for the past 110 years or so Palestinians have lived in utter destitution with no economic hope. You combine that with religious extremism and you’re going to have terrorism. You want to get rid of the terrorism, you either act inhumanly, commit crimes against civilization to defeat it, or you try to provide these people a chance to achieve prosperity and self rule. Those are your choices. It’s the dilemma Israel has faced since the Zionist movement started. 

Can I guarantee to you that giving these folks a chance at independence is going to achieve peace? Of course not. It may very well go the way you predict with more terrorism. But I know that the alternative has not worked, has never worked, mainly because Israel is not willing to behave like the Ottoman Empire. Nor should they. If they did they would lose their identity as a civilized, western nation. And I’m pretty convinced it still wouldn’t work.

Those are my choices?  That sounds like one of your "full stop" posts.  It's a false dichotomy.  I gave you another choice, the obvious choice -- show the slightest interest in entering the 21st (heck, 20th) century before we gift you a country you've never had.  Ottoman Empire?  What about the Mongols, or the Gauls?  

I'll say it another way.  What about officially calling it a country will cause a loose band of warring tribes to elect a democratic government and pursue a capitalist society, when multiple attempts to give them self-governance have resulted in terrorist regimes?

Well we’re not too far apart from each other I don’t think. Of course Palestinians are going to have to make a real effort here. I have to say that, as much as I sympathize with individual Palestinians, as a people they have screwed up and blown chances at a lasting peace and prosperity time after time after time. Their absolute best opportunity was in the early 90s. But they blew it. Now it’s going to be much harder.

They had been released previously.  Looks like other than the 20 released, there were only 2 hostages that Israel thought may have  been alive but were not.  There are still some dead bodies that have not been released though.

I’m pretty sure liberals are fine with this. Palestinians are celebrating - seriously they’re out in the streets partying. They have their nation state & Hamas survives with amnesty & no war crimes tribunal, and they get their 2700 prisoners back, families reunited. Only one who is unhappy in all this is Netanyahu, & probably foreign policy conservatives.

Today is a great day in the history of the Trump presidency, I do not know how the peace deal will ultimately work out. And you all know what I think of Donald Trump; that hasn’t changed. But today he deserves the heartfelt thanks of this country and the world. Well done Mr. President. Take a well deserved bow.
