Trump says Chicago next up for federal crime crackdown

CNN - President Donald Trump said Friday that Chicago will be the next city that his administration targets for a federal crackdown on crime and suggested a longer and more intense campaign in the nation’s capital.

“We’ll straighten that one out, probably next, that will be our next one after this,” Trump said from the Oval Office. “I think Chicago will be our next and then we’ll help with New York.”

The president has credited his federal takeover of Washington, DC’s police force and deployment of the National Guard there with driving down crime in the city — touting a weeklong stretch without any murders as a “miracle”

This is fantastic news!  We need to shut those sanctuary cities down.  That has to be a violation of Federal Law.  No funding to any states/cities that harbor illegals and set them up with luxury hotels and credit cards, all at the expense of the US Taxpayer.  They get better treatment than our own poor, homeless and vets.  I say burn them all down.

in the 15 days its been in affect there have been less murders reported, but thats a small sample size, I would wait a year for data

I'm operating based on easily researched facts, which include D.C.'s crime rate dropping long before federal troops, that their presence has had no impact on crime and that they were placed in safe tourism areas instead of where the crime occurs. I have provided links and information supporting my point.

The North Pole is void of crime, and Trump sending troops there would ensure that it would stay that way, but if your assumption is that putting federal troops in super-safe tourist areas, freeing up police to go after the crime-riddled areas, then you'd still have a noticeable decline in D.C.'s overall crime rate, which hasn't taken place.

Your knuckleheaded assumptions based on nothing in the way of facts are seeds that will find no purchase among the intelligent and knowledgeable.
