Jack Smith on if Trump's statements were free speech:

He was free to say that he thought he won the election. He was even free to say, falsely, that he won the election. But what he was not free to do was violate federal law and use knowingly false statements about election fraud to target a lawful government function. That he was not allowed to do.

I saw a “7 takeaways” article from Politico. But all that site cares about is “palace intrigue” so it wasn’t too informative.

Stuff is starting to pop up. I'm grateful it's being made public but have no belief that it will meaningfully move the needle. Everything was publicly known before the election and didn't prevent the Don from getting elected.

Agreed. GOP Congress will never turn on 45/47. SCOTUS is in the tank too.

It might take a 60% majority in the next 2 elections to turn things around. Gerrymandering could block anything less. Or maybe I’m just too pessimistic…?
