What happened to all the right wing civil libertarians?   Why do you all just bend over and let the govt violate your rights?  I guarantee if biden did this you would call for civil war?

They never cared about any rights except their own.

Federal officials did not contest Gibson’s habeas petition.

Gibson, who reportedly fled the Liberian civil war as a child, says agents entered his home without showing a warrant. His wife, who was filming at the time, warned that children were inside, he says, and that agents holding rifles stood in their doorway. “One agent repeatedly claimed ‘We’re getting the papers’ in response to her demand to see the warrant,” he says. “But without showing a warrant, and apparently without having one, five to six agents moved in as if they were entering a war zone.”<<

The Feds didn’t even oppose it. They had no cause, no nothing.

>>>One day after the judge ordered Gibson’s immediate release, ICE agents took him back into custody when he appeared for a routine immigration check-in at a Minnesota immigration office, according to his attorney, Marc Prokosch, who said Gibson arrived believing the court order had resolved the matter.

“We were there for a check-in, and the original officer said, ‘This looks good, I'll be right back,’” Prokosch told the Associated Press. “And then there was a lot of chaos, and about five officers came out and then they said, ‘We're going to be taking him back into custody.’ I was like, ‘Really, you want to do this again?’”

… After his arrest, Gibson says in his declaration that he was taken to a local detention facility where ICE agents posed for photos. “Once there, agents posed with their personal cell phones taking selfies standing on either side of me with their thumbs up,” he says. “I observed them take similar photos with other detainees. This, to me, seemed designed to humiliate the detainees and create ‘trophy’ photos.” … <<<

Video shows ICE with 5-year-old girl while agents attempt to arrest her father

>>

A video obtained by Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra shows Immigration and Customs Enforcement with a 5-year-old girl, whose mother says is autistic, while agents attempt to arrest her father near their Massachusetts home.

The video, provided to Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra by the girl’s mother, depicts the girl sitting beside an SUV with three agents nearby outside her home in Leominster last Tuesday. Her father at the time was inside.

The girl’s mother told Telemundo — which is owned and operated by NBCUniversal, the parent company of NBC News — that her husband called her while he was driving with their daughter shortly before the incident and told her he thought he was being followed.

Her husband, Edward Hip Mejia, drove home and “managed to run back into the parking lot of my house,” she said, and her daughter as a result was left with the agents.

“They took my daughter, she’s 5 years old. She has autism spectrum,” the girl’s mother is heard telling agents in the video. “Give me my daughter back.”

Mejia is originally from Guatemala and has lived in the United States for about 25 years, according to his wife, who asked that her name not be published. The pair share two children who were born in the United States, she said.

The video appears to show authorities outside the home communicating with the father.

“Is that your daughter? Come here so I can see those IDs,” a man who appears to be an immigration agent can be heard saying in the video.

“Hey, I can give it through the door,” Mejia is heard saying in response.

The agent then points to the ground in front of himself and tells Mejia he can give the ID to him “right here.”

NBC Boston reported that local police then arrived at the scene, recovered the child and returned her to her family. She is doing well, her mom told Telemundo.

Authorities went back to the home two days later and detained Mejia, his wife said. He is being held at an ICE detention center in Plymouth, she said.

“Officers came out behind my house, arrested him, took him away,” she told Telemundo. “We are not criminals.”<<<

Can't read your article but it sounds like the reason he was let go was due to him being in his house and them only having an administrative warrant.  Doesn't sound like the judge found the warrant/detention in and of itself illegal, just where they detained him.  So why would it be surprising that they would detain him at an immigration office, a place they clearly have jurisdiction to detain people?

Illegal attack kids on a school bus in NJ. Could have been a mass casualty event. Sorry some people get taken to the station and released. Small price to pay to protect the children.

Right, I agree. There are different issues in all these cases. This has two of them, one is illegal entry in violation of the 4th Amendment, another is violation of asylum & naturalization laws. The latter one is probably something people argue over a lot but that’s what happened here, the 2nd time they used an administrative warrant which is a civilian tool. The guy responsibly appeared at Immigration as he always had, he was in compliance.

‘Monster’ rock-thrower who fractured skull of 8-year-old girl on school bus is an illegal migrant from Mexico: DHS

Yes this is horrible & tragic. This guy is a monster. He’ll probably be overjoyed to learn he’ll be allowed to avoid trial & a life of hard labor in the pen to be sent to Mexico instead.

Another ICE killing. Looks like they had 7-1 odds and the guy pinned to the ground - why shoot him?

I understand, nationalist men sent child-attackers on a free trip to the land of warm weather, beaches & palapas.

The conservative would say: 2nd Amendment, 1st Amendment, 4th Amendment, in that order. A liberal might order it differently, but same result. This man was deprived of his liberty & life without due process.

Why would you be at a "peaceful protest" with a handgun, 2 magazines and knives?

He could of been home with his family instead of chasing ICE agents around. Bad decision??

This happened ***all the time at Tea Party protests. As I said a conservative would say: an American has a right to bear arms, he has a right to free speech, & he had a right to liberty, & he has the right to do all of those things at the same time.

Well except for Kyle Rittenhouse. I’ll wait to read or see more before I reply to you. I’ve only seen the video of the man being disarmed before he was pumped full of bullets.

https://www.aclu.org/press-releases/aclu-sues-federal-government-to-end-ice-cbps-practice-of-suspicionless-stops-warrantless-arrests-and-racial-profiling-of-minnesotans

Quote

Plaintiff Mubashir Khalif Hussen is a 20-year-old U.S. citizen. On Dec. 10, 2025, he was walking to lunch in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood when he was stopped by multiple masked ICE agents. When Hussen realized he was being stopped by ICE, he began repeating, “I’m a citizen. I’m a citizen.” But the agents refused to look at Hussen’s ID.

ICE agents put Hussen into an SUV and drove him to the Whipple building in south Minneapolis. Only after being shackled, having his fingerprints taken, and showing a photo of his passport card to an individual at the Whipple building was Hussen let go.

“At no time did any officer ask me whether I was a citizen or if I had any immigration status,” said Hussen. “They did not ask for any identifying information, nor did they ask about my ties to the community, how long I had lived in the Twin Cities, my family in Minnesota, or anything else about my circumstances.”

When these poorly trained goons engage in these thug tactics and racial profiling, it's no wonder that the community has responded the way it has.

ICE needs to dial back the temperature.

Clearly resisted Federal officers, while carrying a loaded Firearm

That in fact is not a legitimate reason to shoot anyone in any agency or police force in the US. It is in China, Iran & Cuba.

Of course it is. When you're reaching for a loaded Firearm while resisting arrest, prepare to die.

I'm 100% right. He wasn't some innocent civilian just walking by. He was looking for trouble and found it

Yes, I seen a Man inciting federal officials, obstructing then resisting arrest.

What do you think would of happened if he simply listened and got out of the way?
