The Wire links to the council meeting video where Bernardo is hired. Go look at them, they’re not wide eyed “woke” weak wrists liberals, these are folks hiring a cop. And as the Evans case shows the local LE agencies check with E-Verify & DHS.

Asked about the purpose of DHS policy of filming the ICE filmers, Bier told me that the information are being fed into databases for possible future law enforcement action. I realize there is some confusion about nazis vs fascists vs say authoritarians. Making lists like this is something the Stassi (communists), the Basij (Iran, Islamists), or the Belorussian KGB or Russian FSB (nationalist authoritarians) would do and do. Yes the German Third Reich Secret State Police did it also. It’s thoroughly unAmerican & anti-American.

He signed papers saying he would leave the country voluntarily. But Herrera said he was coerced. “He says, ‘They’re going to come and get me and they threatened me, they said they would separate me from my daughter if I didn’t go,’ ” Herrera said.<<< - This is a heartbreaking story. This is potentially a very sad case although the cherry picked, slanted article is missing crucial details. If states and local governments would cooperate with the Feds we could take care of this problem a lot quicker and efficiently. When they choose not to assist I have trouble being too bothered by much of it.

During that time they create lives here and use that as a sob story to stay even if they should be deported. Biden's people were giving court dates TEN years out. That's ridiculous.
