Noooo, not defending a coach, I’m not blaming him.

Trevor Lawrence is painful to watch.

The Jaguars easily lead the league in drop rate, as Trevor Lawrence's wideouts have dropped a whopping 13 passes through three weeks—no other offense is even in double digits. All four of the team's top WRs have multiple drops on the season, "led" by Brian Thomas Jr. (3) and Dyami Brown (3). Pro Football Reference gives the Jaguars a 50.9% on-target pass rate—the 14th-best mark in the league.

It was so bad this Sunday they actually pieced together a montage of drops during the game as it was coming down to the wire in the 4th qtr.  I know it’s fun to hate on Lawrence, but he’s playing well enough to win, and they should be 3-0 vs 2-1.  And I’m sick of people on this board hating on Travis Hunter.  The guy is doing what he was drafted to do, and again the Jags are 2-1.  It’s not his fault some folks drafted a DB as a WR 2/3.  I told you not to.  And I told you to draft Dyami instead.  He was putting up WR2 numbers before he got hurt this week.

The point is that they gave the draft capital for a WR1. There were better corners in this draft that they could of gotten at 20 overall. If he's not playing full time at WR then the Jaguars are dummer than I thought.

Amateur I wrong?

Ayomanor had 13 catches for 294 yards and three touchdowns. That's an average of 22.6 yards per catch, vs Travis Hunter in 1 game. Think about that

I dont have a hate for Travis Hunter.

but I also never drafted him either.   with a guy like him you always have to ask.... what if hes a better defender at the NFL level than he is a receiver?    there was actually considerable risk with him because if he is a better defender, his reps as a WR will be less than they would be otherwise because the guy needs to take a breather.  he cant be out there defending the prior series and then going out and running routes.   dudes gonna get tired.

I figured if he gets used on both sides of the ball they may split the time up.

so I didnt pick him due to the situation. not due to his skillset

No, the point is they didn’t draft him as a WR.  They didn’t draft him as a DB.  They drafted him as a football player they could incorporate as needed on either side of the ball.  And if you were trying to figure out where he would most likely be used, their biggest need was DB.  The season is young, and I doubt they really know yet what the appropriate mix will be.

But he's not a good DB. That's my point. This isn't Sauce Gardner, yet they paid twice the price.

It was a mind boggling move by the Jaguars. It feels more of a PR move than a football move.

There's a reason why certain teams always suck.

Joey Lawrence's contract pays him 55 million AAV. Wrap your mind around that one...

I dont love him, but this year his team has been plagued by drops.   I think hes better than what the stats are showing.   not sure that makes him good.  Maybe it makes him slightly better than Meh.

Guy had 6 tackles (4 solo) yesterday, so I’m not sure your rationale here unless you’re one of the people who wasted a draft pick on a DB as your WR2.

8 dynasty leagues, 1 redraft.  Zero Hunter shares

I agree he’s a DB masquerading as a WR

Travis Hunter is proof that Deion is just fart spray. He was able to make his players look shiny, when in reality, they were exactly what they started out as.....Jackson State level football players.

Yep.  That Walter Payton sure was a scrub from Jackson State!  Do you people even consider thinking before spouting ignorant crap?

Every nut finds a squirrel every once in awhile. Maybe every 50 years or so.

Walter would be 71 if he were still alive. RIP Sweetness!

My local McDonald's puts out a decent quarter pounder every now & then......I don't think that qualifies them as a Michelin star restaurant.

😂😂😂 equating Walter Payton to “decent”!

Thanks for that!  What a maroon!  😂😂😂

I needed that laugh.
I do love when the short bus folk prove my point!

Maybe what? 1% of fans know Payton went to Jackson St?

Maybe what?  30% even saw him play?

I don't think having 1 great player 50 years ago disqualifies the school from being considered second tier players.
