Bo Nix Passing Touchdown Not Counted?

Nix pass to Dobbins was counted as a rushing touchdown? Looks like it was a forward pass to me. Anyone else agree? Possible stat correction?

Looking at it live I said no way. Watching the replay. Nix released it at the 23 1/2 yard line and Dobbins caught it with one hand at the 23. It should be a passing TD.

I estimate the chances of that getting switched to a TD pass at exactly 0%

Sideways lateral and there won't be motivation to change it.

I never saw the play, but passes where the catch was behind the LOS can often be considered lateral. 

if a correction happens it will happen in the next 24 hours or (likely) not at all.

It's happened before. Everybody's got an interest in accurate stats since lots of players have bonuses tied statistical achievements.

It's hard to tell.  The camera angle is going to make it tricky due to parallax.  The lines on the field help, but we really need an angle perfectly in line with wear Bo Nix let the ball go.

I think NFL.com used to show stat corrections by the NFL. You could always check & if it’s changed ask for a manual correction by your commish.

I just realized I'd turn a loss into a win if they change that to a TD pass.  Therefore, it definitely was a forward pass and they definitely should change it.

Agreed. I watched it then took a screen shot of the ball halfway to Dobbins then drew a line from Nix' hand to where he made the catch and it goes backwards by maybe a foot. I highly doubt they change it unless Payton reaches out to the NFL.

That was easy to see happing, kept reading that was going to be the case, keep seeing that Harvey was having a tough time in passing situations during the off-season.
